CONTAGIOUS ORGASM - Live At Maschinenfest 2018 - (Raubbau-Germany-2018)

Raubbau picks up the thread and continues with its quest to make available memorable maschinenfest performances. contagious orgasm was a mf regular, and this perfectly shows the progression from the 2008 performance made available last year: gone are the idm leanings, the co sound of the 2010s (which is presented here) is even more a language of its own, abrasive and accessible, palpable and psychedelic at the same time.

get ready for some active listening - “afterglow” and “operation blue” are like a walk over thin ice, with acoustic strings and percussions, intimate melodies, whispered vocals and eerie washes of background feedback. the two parts of “exploration end seeking” are examples of co’s experimental leanings and an appreciation of the musique concrete. “mineral” and “firewalker” sport almost-rhythms and through a psyched-out, spooky back-alley take the performance to its noisy finale. It goes without saying that the sound quality is flawless, representing all the fine details of the truly unique co sound.

NJURMANNEN-Heavenly Music For A Yellow Devil-(Technodelia Institute-Sweden-C45-1991)

Njurmännen was a group from Sweden that released a lot off cassettes as well as singles and albums. Even a label was indirectly called up after them; Cold Meat Industry.

They started as band in September 1983. They was then; Magnus "AIR" Axelsson, Göransson (aka Shadow) and Johan "Mhugh" Linden. Shortly after they got Bosse "Bob Galban" Davidsen in the band. This line up did their first concert late 1983 or early 1984. Shortly after Galban quit. In easter 1984 the trio makes their first cassette (Hvem är Pavul?). While working on their second cassette album "Fejmert betong aktivator-reliker", they was expanded with Stefan Karlsson. With him they played some concerts. In January 85 both Mhugh and Karlsson quit. As a duo the rest off the band record "Masters 1992" in february 85.

During spring 1985 they became a trio including Peter "Linda Baby Doll" Andersson. As a trio they played their famous concert in Mjölby that later became (Njur 004). During summer 1985 they got Bobo Wieslander as livemixer and later studio producer. During fall 1985 Jonas Skoglund became their new bass player, after several persons had been in and out off the band. With him they recorded their marvelous album "CP" during the winter of 1986.

In August 1986 Skoglund quits and they continue as a trio. This line up make and preform a rock opera. First performence was in November 1986. Same month they recorded their first 7" "She's A Fucker". After 1987 i don`t know much. This is it; Doll quit after a while somewhere during the 90`s and the rest have recorded under the name Rotten Beak in a short period of time before they took back Njurmännen again. In 1997 they had a break, since then they have been back with two different line-ups.

KAAOS-Nukke Ep-(Havoc Records-USA-2000)

Recorded in 1985 but only released in 1993 on the Finnish Fight Records, this is the  re-print by the American Havoc Records made in 2000. Here a good bio from their official webpage.   click me

KAAOS was formed by four 14-15 year old young punks in March 1980 to play raw and noisy punk music because most of old so called punk bands had changed their styles to the new wave. At first they were mostly influenced by bands like CRASS. Then when such style as hardcore came and bands like DISCHARGE, DISORDER, CHAOS UK etc., their style changed to faster and more aggressive. KAAOS can be considered as a pioneer in hardcore in Finland and even in Scandinavia. The first record waited to be released to the end of 1981 including the legendary "Kytät On Natsisikoja". The line-ups were changing and records were released in a steady stream and the band made gigs also (KAAOS got a reputation as a "riot squad"). KAAOS was approached by some record labels to larger audience but the band kept their D.I.Y. and punk attitude. The first LP was released in 1984 ("Ristiinnaulittu Kaaos"). Before that there had been some confusions with line-ups (Jakke is the original member and former of the band) and other things. The things went to that point that the band decided to stop for so far in December 1985. After that band members played in other punk bands like KUOLLEET KUKAT, KOHU-63 and POSITIVE NEGATIVE. The new coming of KAAOS happened in 1999 in the funeral of the legendary club called Lepakko in Helsinki. From the old line-up there was Jakke and Sidney. KAAOS released couple of splits and collections and in 2001 was released 10" LP "Ismit" which brought some new ideas without forgetting the old aggro-HC. In the summer of 2002 the band made their second foreign tour which was organized by Pogo-Paul (the first was in 1984!). In April 2005 Jakke disbanned the band. Despite numerous requests to have KAAOS on stage again Jakke's decision stuck until October 2007 when KAAOS made an appearance (with original lineup!) in Tavastia Club, at the release party of the book "Parasta Lapsille". That proved to be the final KAAOS show. Jakke died a month later in November 29th 2007. He apparently died of alcohol-related causes at the age of 42.

IRD Recordings - In Rave Danger Volume One - (IRD Recordings -UK- 2021)

IRD - InRaveDanger, ItalianRaveDepartment, ImReadytoDrive, I'dRatherDance, ItsReallyDales, IrateRavingDickheads.. the list keeps going, much like the Sound System itself.

The first boxes were built in the summer of 2008 and stacked up in Barking with the paint still wet. Since then its been consistently out and about in some form or other. With Tekno in the fields and forests of the south of England, Live Bands and Broken-Beats in sweaty London offices, and lots of Hardcore in lots of warehouses all over the place.

Any excuse for a Knees Up; D.I.Y or Die.

From Scotland to Guinea-Bissau, Wales to Albania and a lot of places in between a massive amount of people have come together over the years to create these autonomous spaces for freedom, dancing and banging rave music. Its the people that make the party, Squatters, Dj's, Stewards, Artists, Drivers, Performers, Technicians, Producers, Gate-Keepers, Electricians, Legal-Observers, Urban Explorers and all the On-It Ravers who keep each other safe amidst the madness; but its the Music that brings us all together.

Core and Tek of different speeds and ferocities, Jungle, Drum/Drill and Bass in all its shape shifting forms. We try and pump the sounds that are not easy to find.

Its a quiet year so far but it will get louder. To kick it off we are launching our long awaited label IRD Recordings. Bringing together a whole host of producers and releasing the type of tunes that we have been playing all these years; namely up-tempo having-it rave music. Watch this space for the first of the digital releases dropping in the coming months with the Vinyl soon to follow.    click me

v.a.-Sounds Blasts! EP2-(Sounds-UK-1989)

Second ep released by the famous British magazine Sounds in 1989.It includes 4 fantastic bands from the post-hardcore scene of that era.

Sounds was a UK weekly pop/rock music newspaper, published from 10 October 1970 to 6 April 1991. It was well known for giving away posters in the centre of the paper (initially black and white, but colour from late 1971) and later for covering heavy metal (especially the new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM))[1] and punk and Oi! music in its late 1970s–early 1980s heyday. One of the trinity of British music weeklies, along with NME and Melody Maker, Sounds folded in 1991 after the parent company, United Newspapers, sold all their music titles to EMAP Metro. Morgan-Grampian had been acquired by United Business Media – then known as United News and Media – in 1987, first as part of the United Advertising Publications (UAP) division and later as part of the then CMP Information portfolio. A legacy of Sounds was the creation of the heavy metal/rock magazine Kerrang!, which was originally issued as a supplement before being spun off as a separate publication. LUBRICATED GOAT - Schadenfreude - (Black Eye Records-Australia-1989)

Australian noise-rock band, whose main member was Stu Spasm (born Stuart Gray). Lubricated Goat fell apart after Stu was stabbed during their 1991 tour. Stu reformed band few years later, however, with all-star line-up which included members of bands like Cop Shoot Cop.

Black Eye Records was a subsidiary of The Red Eye Record Label in Sydney, Australia in the mid to late 1980’s. It was started specifically to accommodate the darker and irreverent music created by the consortium of Tex Perkins, Stuart ‘Spasm’ Gray, Lachlan McLeod, and Peter Read. It was deemed by all involved that a separate identity was necessary for the very different sounds and outlook to Red Eye. Black Eye officially ceased to exist when the parent label ran short on cash at the end of the 80’s - but all due royalties were paid, and the principal entities were going their separate ways anyway by then. Much of the story, and graphics, of Black Eye can be found in the recently published 252 page book ‘Snaps, Crack, Pop!’ assembled by the Labels’ founder John Foy with original Red Eye art director Jim Paton - released October 2018.
