L.A. CHOIX - Wild Oats - (Vox Pop/Point Zero-Italy-1991)

L.A.Choix was a project created by Stefano Concobeach and Valeria, in this great album, they are in the company of a set of fantastic musicians to create their unique style of independent/alternative rock mixing some tribal music, garage rock made of experimental sounds where avantgarde and psychedelia get mixed with their personal touch.

Vox Pop was an Italian alternative label founded in Milan in 1989 by Carlo Albertoli, Giacomo Spazio and Manuel Agnelli. It closed on 25th february 1997.Point Zero was an Independent label from Milan, Italy run by Stefano Faini.

Sterile Records was a label founded by Nigel Ayers (Nocturnal Emissions) for own and related releases, active from 1979-1986 and then re-activated April 2021.  Live album by this American crust / hardcore band from New York City active in the 1990s. Recorded live at MKNZ in Ilirska Bistrica (Slovenija) on 5th of May 1995 during their European tour with Dirt.Lots of political messages during their live show and the recording is pretty good. A few cover songs of Nausea since the singer was active with them. Enjoy it.

Highpoint Lowlife records started as an idle daydream atop Potrero Hill. Two bums by the names of Joey Hurt and Thorsten Sideb0ard were running a local dj night in a bar, where they would play a mixture of new and local indie pop, rock and electronica. Inspired by the success of their club night, they decided to push forward with the idea of the record label. The daydream came to fruition with a double disc compilation of local San Francisco bands that summer of 2001.  Fantastic compilation from the very underground Greek punk scene of the last century.The title means Domestic Disturbance. It was a join effort as a co-operation of two greek squats, Villa Amalias (Athens) and Villa Varvara (Thesalloniki)! It came out with 16 pages booklet with graphix and writings, here I am attaching the introduction in english language.Big Thanks to my friend Ion for the help with the language barrier. Enjoy it.

The titles "Ghazels" (also "Ghazal" or "Ghzali") refers to beautiful girls" ("beauties") as well as lyrical poems, love poems or love chants and comes from the great Persian lyrical poet Shemseddin Hafiz who described his "ghazels" in such a way : "At the hour of parting, by going away from you, my eyes came emplty of light by dint of weeping".(from their official webpage )  click me
