Fantastic compilation edited and released by the Spanish Munster Records in 1997. It was a Cd given away free with the Spanish magazine Factory No.16.  24 Bands with explosive songs playing a great mix of garage rock, psychadelic rock, rockabilly, hard rock, surf`n roll and more old school rock n` roll. AZALIA SNAIL - Escape maker - (Garden Of Delights-UK-1995)

 

Azalia Snail is an American avant-garde singer-songwriter and musician.^[1] She is a multi-instrumentalist active in neo-psychedelia, psychedelic folk, and indie rock,^[2][3] played a prominent role in the 1990s lo-fi music scene,^[4] and was dubbed the "Queen of Lo-Fi".^[3] She is one half of the duo LoveyDove.Snail recorded eleven solo albums between 1990 and 2006^{[1][needs update]} and has written film scores for several indie features and short films.^[4] She has toured the United States, Europe, and Australasia.In 2000, she won the Los Angeles LA Weekly Music Award for Best New-Genre/Uncategorizable Artist.^{[5]  (from Wikipedia)}

L.A. CHOIX - Wild Oats - (Vox Pop/Point Zero-Italy-1991)

L.A.Choix was a project created by Stefano Concobeach and Valeria, in this great album, they are in the company of a set of fantastic musicians to create their unique style of independent/alternative rock mixing some tribal music, garage rock made of experimental sounds where avantgarde and psychedelia get mixed with their personal touch.

Vox Pop was an Italian alternative label founded in Milan in 1989 by Carlo Albertoli, Giacomo Spazio and Manuel Agnelli. It closed on 25th february 1997.Point Zero was an Independent label from Milan, Italy run by Stefano Faini.

 A very good piece of vinyl,here as wave. Enjoy it!

Kryptästhesie-Leaves` Laughters-(Self Released-Italy-1985)

The first production by this amazing psychedelic rock band hailing from Lecco and active for about 10 years. 

They play their idiosyncratic form of psychedelic rock mixing some new wave, rock anthems, acoustic melodies and other fluid passages of creativity. Definitely, a band that has its own personality and never wanted to sell its soul for the commercial music industry. 

I have already posted their albums Shaken By The Sun released in 1992 and Inner Whirl released in 1996.

Volume one of this great compilation series, I have already posted the Vol. 2.

Also here a bunch of obscure bands/artists playing various forms of psych-rock, it came out with a booklet reporting info and pics/graphic works about the bands. All the relevant scans provided.

 On/Off Records was an Italian independent label from Spotorno (Savona); in 1998 changed the name in beware! RECORDS, continuing the same catalogue numbering.
And also this time, It is a precious gift from my friend Dante, who kindly donated this amazing sampler as FLAC files adding a personal little note. A big Thank You, dear Dante.

 As with Vol.2, Floralia #1 presents us with a wide variety of indie-psych, rock & space-pop sounds. Mostly Italian bands this time, understandably. So far, I'm still only familiar with half of it, but the highlights for me are, naturally, Kryptästhesie (quite the Saucerful!), and Subterraneans (driving, retro fuzz), Olographic Landscape (bouyant interlude), Experimental Low-Fi Pop Oscillator (reminds me of The American Analog Set), the 2nd entry by Backwards,
Angus Bidoli (pre-launch warm-up). 
Gastel Etzwane provides the most welcome experimental sounds like the album's closer. As I hear flashes of early Floyd in many of the bands, which is also quite natural, then Gastel is the Ron Geesin of the entourage. (Dante)

Kryptästhesie-Inner Whirl-(Delerium Records-UK-1996)

I have already presented this band when I posted their amazing double lp Shaken By The Sun.

Their psychedelic music has a very personal approach and this cd confirm this theory even more. The fantasy flow explodes in millions of colourful particles surrounding us!

For all the lovers of some kind of obscure psych-acid rock, this is a band to discover and love.

STEVE GREEKSHIRE-Worms-(Mini-CD-Self Released-UK-201?)

Steve Greekshire is a musician hailing from Leeds and playing his own rather weird yet genial and personal music mixing various styles. 

These 5 tracks, that make up the album "Worms," are a mixture of eccentric and off the wall songs, mixed in with psychedelic, folk and hard rock.

Here a small introduction is taken from his FB page.
"Hey ho and Hello to all.
I am a musician and occasionally a visual artist and I am one who likes to challenge his own as well as others, conventions, perceptions, and values. This can be expressed in both playful, as well as an aggressive manor.
If I didn't, or could not do this, I would get bored with myself and would have to accept a dull world, which is always eager to swallow one up.
My music and material are sometimes Bizarre, Surreal, Eccentric, Comical and Off The Wall, because it pleases my sense of things as well as, it helps me, and others to laugh.
Sometimes though, I t can be quite different and more straight forward and express light Summery, or Dark Folk Ballads
It can also contain strong elements of Experimental, Psychedelic Heavy Rock and Blues and angry aggressiveness.
I get a kick in finding new ways of strengthening emotion and dynamics in my work and I like to evoke atmospheres and mental pictures that appeal to the imagination of my audience, as well as questioning and giving a friendly poke, that prompts them to question our daily reality and values.
It healthy for us to all rock each other's boat every so often!
I sing stories as well as create sounds and audio pictures. I have different approaches to my music which is governed by a theme, story or mood.
Sometimes I have to vent my anger and give myself a voice at the powers that be, through a serious protest, or a satirical song or three.
Thanx to those who persevere in freeing themselves of the mental shackles of dogma and convention and seek to exercise imagination, cause you give me hope and inspiration.

v.a.-FLORALIA Vol 2-(On/Off Records-Italy-1997)

An amazing international compilation with very obscure bands/artists playing weird shoegaze, strange psychedelic rock, unhinged avant-garde, personal space rock, and similar acid jingles.

It came out with a little booklet reporting bands info and graphics works.

A little treat for people into acid musical voyages and joyful no-sense carnivals.

It was released by On/Off Records

A very big thanx to Dante D. for donating to this blog this little unknown gem as Flac files + this small interesting note about the sampler.
"Comparable to the better known Succour and Alms compilations, The Floralia series of four discs was released n Italy during the same period, and like Soccour these CDs featured similarity independent space & psych bands from across the globe.
Personal highlights from the second volume are Kryptasthesie`s spiralling teleportation raga(from Italy) and Tribe of Cro(launching from Belgium in a brief stellar cruise toward suspended animation).
Other guests include two of Jorge Beltransjam-bands, Humus(Mexico) and Frolic Froth(ex loch Ness).
The U.S. Texas arm of underground space-rock bands are represented by Iron Bong and Bag(both from the same dry heat that gave us Lithium X-Mas and ST 37).
Excerpts from Anna Nacher`s sacred cave meditations with the polish group Atman are also added, along with contributions from S/T and others you no-doubt know or will soon discover."

KRYPTÄSTHESIE was a band from Lecco(Northern Italy) active from 1987 till 1997, they were playing their idiosyncratic form of psychedelic rock mixing some new wave, rock anthems, acoustic melodies and other fluid passages of creativity. Definitely, a band that has its own personality and never wanted to sell its soul for the commercial music industry. 

 Somehow there is in this disc a pure Syd Barret spirit yet they have their own energy making their music a voyage to the centre of not adulterate fantasy.

Alphane Moon Volume 1-(Fanzine-UK-90s)

First number of this welsh fanzine covering the underground world of psychadelic and acid rock with pagan philisophy.
Interviews,reviews of tapes and zines and more incredible unknown stuff regarding this subject.

I am going to attach here the table of contents.

I am not sure when it was realesed I guess early 90s.

If I do not fail Alphane Moon was also a project of ambient/drone/pagan music coming from Wales and this zine was probably done by the same people of this project.

WEBCORE-Cinematography-(Areal Kavoom Productions-1984-UK)

Webcore was an old welsh psychedelic rock and prog band formed by Clive Goodwin, Dan Carpenter, Karen Kay, Mick West (2), Paul Chousmer, Phil Pickering.

Cinematography was released on A Real Kavoom label in 1984.

A very good band playing nice progressive rock dreams...
