v.a.-Noise Against Racism Vol. 2-(HNM Records-UK-2019)

58 tracks by a bunch of antifascists musicians playing various forms of industrial noise.
It was released on the 12th August 2019 as a digital product available on their Bandcamp Page where you can listen to this amazing sampler, download it choosing your price and check their other great releases and related artists.
HNM stands for Harsh Noise Movement and it is been described as a "blueprint for how labels can progress in the digital age without compromising their vision".
Here a small note about this release from their page.
"It's been 2 years since the first Noise Against Racism compilation was brought out. During that time HNM Records parted company with the other label that hosted it, Blackened Death Records, due to the fact that BDR had previous affiliations with Nazi bands, and the label owner's own previous racist views.
The Noise Against Racism compilation idea was created by HNM Records in the first place and all bands sent material to HNM.
Anyway, enough of the ranting. FUCK FASCISM.
Huge thanks to all that have contributed to this compilation."

I.N.R.I. n1 + I.N.R.I. n2 - (Fanzine-Greece-1986 and 1987)

2 Issues of this rather obscure Greek fanzine focused on the early industrial music scene, the goth rock and the new wave.
Named INBI(translated INRI)the first issue was released in April 1986 in Athens, containing 32 A4 xeroxed pages. The second one was released in early 1987. The mastermind behind them was the painter Alexandros Dimitriades from Volos(Greece), a third issue was planned but never released, some pages were painted by hand after the printing.
The first issue contains an interview to Dead Can Dance, some lyrics by the Greek new wave band Koumpotripes A.E., the discography and biography of And Also The Trees, translated lyrics of Swans, Coil, Death In June, some music reviews, texts and poems by R.R. Hearse and a few more rants.
While the second issue offers to us a translated story of H.C. Andersen, some more poems and text by R.R. Hearse, an interview to Nick Cave, some astonishing drawings and some other poems and lyrics.
These very rare jewels were kindly donated to this blog by my friend Ion of the E.T.C. Group who also provided the very useful info about the subjects covered in these pages.
A very big "Thank You" to Ion for sharing such amazing and rare zines.
These are only in the Greek language so enjoy them if you are Greek literate.

PEDAGO PARTY-L`Arte Della Rivoluzione-(Self Released-Italy-1983)

First demo by this very original band from Piacenza(Northern Italy)! Although they have been associated with the HC punk movement, Pedago party plays music that crosses various styles touching the post-punk, the goth rock and the punk.
I have already posted their second demo In Sorgere released in 1987.
They formed in 1983 and disbanded in 1991. They have been very close to the anarchist movement during all their life. A sort of biography is here.
Enjoy it.

They`re Coming To Take Me Away Hahaha...(Fanzine-UK-1984)

Another great old zine focused on industrial music and culture!

Interviews to  Coil, Chris and Cosey, Organum, Crass and articles about 400 Blows, Test Dept, Psychic Tv, Die Todliche Doris, DDAA, Allen Ginsberg, We be Echo + a few rants and thoughts.

A very good tool to research the old industrial network of the fabulous 80s and to get a glimpse of the underground press of that scene and era.
Enjoy it.

It appears that there are a few bands using this name. This one is the industrial/noise rock outfit coming from New London, CT, USA and active in the mid-90s. A Discogs page about them is here.
10 tracks with filtered vocals, metallic sounds, grinding guitar riffs, powerful bass and noisy structures. A great cd to discover...

v.a.-BIOLOGICA-(Not On Label-Greece-2013)

Great CD-R compilation including lots of bands who played at the squat in the Biology School in Thessaloniki. Many bands playing different forms of punk, HC punk and similar styles.
The various recordings are very good.
I guess this sampler was given away for free as on the back cover is clearly stated Do Not Sell, Copy, Destroy Music Industry.
A big thanks to my friend Ion for transcribing the Greek titles in Romanic characters for me to index the MP3s.
Enjoy it.

v.a.-Quarantine Compilation 2020 Vol 1-(Tape Goblin-c90-USA-2020)

This sampler offers to us a bunch of artists playing various forms of noise industrial!
It was released on a c90 K7 on the 7th of April 2020 and it is already sold out but you can get it as a digital release on their Bandcamp Page.
Some useful info from their page.
"A collection of noise tracks from 22 extremely talented artists made in social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
All profit from sales of this album are donated to RAICES Texas, a charity that provides legal representation to children detained at the US-Mexico border, to whom innumerable injustices have been dealt, and for whom the dangers of this virus are multiplied.
I have made the digital release of this album free to stop Bandcamp from taking the majority of revenue that's supposed to go to charity. If you download the album digitally, please consider donating directly to RAICES, or another charity if you prefer."
