 Teatro Satanico has been making post-industrial electronic oriented musik since 1993.
Over the years, according to its Satanic attitude, they traveled along erratic and heretic sonik-paths, pacing along noises, melodies, rhythms and drones.
In its last neo-Kosmische psychedelick-industrial channeling musickal embodiment their line-up are D. Granziera, Kalamun, M. Martinuz and N. Antonello ( from their bandcamp page - official webpage )

L.C.B. - Dopo Ore Di Silenzio - (Alampo Records-italy-2010)

 

L.C.B. was born in the first months of 2009 in Arezzo, after some free Live-Electronics sessions. Son and successor to a long history in the arena of ambient-industrial music, L.C.B. has a unique individual as father: Giņ.His strong passion for experimentation, audio manipulation, extreme sound,  and above all his attachment to the forerunners of the genre (from Russolo and Bianchi to the present) bring him to explore musical avenues which are free from any rational or stylized order.

L.C.B. is The Man, with his languages, his shifts and cracks, his discomfort.
With his curved behaviour and the whacked hopes.
With his life, too.
With his end, above all.

Dopo Ore Di Silenzio: A collection of 14 tracks recorded in early 2009 from this italian "solitary" project.An eclectic trip from noise to harsh, from cool electronica to old industrial school influence.Many references but truth is that NO ONE sounds like L.C.B. LUNUS - L-Loch - (Soffitta Macabra-Italy-c60-1998)

 

Old c60 cassette by this Italian project formed by artists already covered in this blog with a few amazing projects. In this tape, Lunus appears as a collaboration between Luigi Russolo , Stefano Barban and Devis G.! 3 long tracks on each side of excellent esoteric electronicks.

Soffitta Macabra is a label founded by Marco Deplano [aka Wertham] and focuses on artists of the dark ambient and industrial scene. Enjoy it.

Port Of The Sun & Take Down UAV-Cynocephali -(Self Released-USA-2009)

 

This amazing Cd-r is the live performance by these two American artists: Port Of The Sun and Take Down UAV performing together at the event " Honey From The Dead King" held on the 26/06/2009 in the Hall Of The Wood,Olympia,WA. The cd comes with a folded cover sleeve  reporting a long text. It is sold out now,anyway it was mainly given away to close friends as a gift.

"...Repetitive groans cracking into thousands of inarticulate sounds conveying pain, despair, orgasms mixing more noises while adding visceral electro waves of restrained rhythmic sequencing the resonance with shifting pulsations, sick sonorism of gloomy progressions, distant voices arguing, whispers of love/hate intents, soundtracks vanishing far towards implosions of forgotten melodies shimmering scraped metals and dissonant sonic miasmas..."

APHORA-Crematore-(Maldoror Tapes-Portugal-c40-1996)

Aphora was a Portuguese industrial project formed by José Vilela, also involved in these projects:Corvu Prettu, José Vilela, Karfreitrg, Lacrima Christi, Negrume.

With 6 tracks in this single-sided tape, Aphora plays a good mix of quiet noise and dark ambient reminding me of some old experiments of esoteric electronicks.

It was released in a limited edition of 20 copies with a photo cover and a xerox copy insert.

Maldoror Tapes was a Portuguese label founded by José Vilela specialized in industrial, ambient and power electronics. All of their releases were extremely limited cassettes (typically 20 or 30 copies each), with a J-card made from an actual photograph, with the title and label number written in rub-on letters. A small photocopied insert was also included with each release, containing the tracklisting and other information. (all info from Discogs)

Therabaqud Leic ‎– Theatragrammadhon-(Clockwork Tapes-Germany-1992)

Another great cassette by this Italian artist already covered in this blog a few times. This is the project of Gianlugi Russolo, also involved in Subliminale, TV Satanico, S. Biasin Trio.

With Theatragrammadhon Gianluigi offers to us 2 tracks of post-industrial esoteric ambient noise touching some drone, some pagan messages, and some ethereal hypnotic music. 

Clockwork Tapes was a  independent label founded in the in 80's and resurrected in 2011 as a CD-Label, with a focus on Harsh Noise, Dark Noise, Ambient, and Minimal Music. Its actual webpage is here.

ALVARS ORKESTER-Woodtrip-(SPH-Portugal-1992)

Alvars Orkester is the Swedish project by Jan Svensson and  Joachim Nordwall, both musicians involved in various labels and projects since the end of the 80s.

 SPH was a  tape label from Portugal, created by Fernando Cerqueira (a member of Ras.Al.Ghul) and featured a wide range of work from artists like Brume, Alvars Orkester and Maeror Tri.

Side A opens with the title track "Woodtrip". Waves of warm, muted sound sweep in, suggesting heat or isolation, The sound gradually builds, the waves flowing across each other in complementary washes, some deep and resonant, some higher-yet-dulled to give an overall pacifying effect. There is no beat, no rhythmic structure, merely wave-upon-wave of swelling sound. This night be described as New Age Industrial - it's a warm factory/machine sound. The depth of sound abates, leaving the higher tones to describe languid shapes and textures ethereal mists hiding unknown things - the thrill of possible danger coupled with an overall sense of security. "Dance In Halfway Under The Earth" swells in on darker, more Industrial sounds, and the higher pitches give it a desolate, isolated sound once more. Feedback flows through the sound, deep and rich, yet full of potential power, an understated threat that it could at any second smash through your speakers like a bolt of electric blue. These sounds follow each other, complementing each other despite their unusual qualities. It's a long & frankly wonderful piece of sound, reminding me of the little I've heard from ARCANE DEVICE.

Side B opens with "Ihn", rising on warm, even hot electronics a little like THROBBING GRISTLE did with their Industrial Introduction, although this is by far a less threatening, longer piece, twisting & turning through it's limited vocab. The machine sound loses it's subtlety, speaking in angry tones only other machines might comprehend. "Bhaktivizew" follows this, being the first of 4 tracks from 1988. A deep synthetic sound over which a continual patter of sound is heard. A noise penetrates & the whole structure concludes. "Amseeeer" has a basement of synthetic sound over which old dancehall music is played. This fades away & other synth noises, following neither tune nor rhythm puncture the sound, scrawling various images across it. "Teri" fades in on dark sounds, a little like some dark & potentially evil film soundtrack, "Quas" is a strange little thing, a rattling, muffled piece, very brief and hard to describe. Suffice to say it's a jumbled sound. "Lighthouse Service" concludes the album, returning us to the present - this is a 1992 piece. It swells & sprawls in warm shapes & textures, while a higher-pitched-but-distant sound flies across the entire swelling structure. It seems akin to DAVID MYERS' feedback music, and actually grows near a sort of ambient organ music (if there could be such a thing). A calming, warming sound with a strong, darker side to it.

To conclude, the closest comparisons I can come to are those mentioned above, especiallyARCANE DEVICE. If you are into MYERS music, then this is ,without doubt the cassette for you.

Great sampler with 4 uncompromising noise esoteric artists from the last century...

Atrax Morgue is the solo project of Italian musician Marco Corbelli which he started in 1992. Also, he owned Slaughter Productions label.  Artist and label covered already in this blog.

Devis G. another amazing artist explored in this blog when I posted music by Teatro Satanico, Spin, Abra Had Abra...

Hex Minora Female noise artist who also ran BV Tapes. Also already researched here.

Mangled is Gianfranco Santoro, owner of Discipline Produzioni and FinalMuzik. I wrote about Discipline Produzioni a few times now.

V.I.T.R.I.O.L was an obscure Italian cassette label run by Devis Granziera.

Cassettes 1 through 10 on the label were limited to 30 numbered copies each. All were packaged in a special package with insert. Cassette 11 could only be obtained by mailing in the vouchers from the inserts of the first ten cassettes. 

The year of release is not stated anywhere, this production came
in a cardboard box; inside there is a female sanitary napkin which protects the cassette.
Also contains a rose paper sheet with data and a voucher for another V.I.T.R.I.O.L cassette.

Illusion Of Safety · Life Garden · Voice Of Eye ‎– The Nature Of Sand - (Manifold Records-USA-1995)

Since 1983 Illusion Of Safety has been the ongoing project of Daniel Burke, working alone and with various collaborators. They have released over 20 CDs on labels such as Complacency, Die Stadt, Experimedia, Odd Size, Silent, Soleilmoon, Staalplaat, Tesco, and Waystyx, and played over three hundred concerts in Europe and North America. IOS' work has been called ambient, post-industrial, electro-acoustic, noise, sound-collage, improvisation, and power electronics, but they are unwilling to limit their work to any given style or method. The sonic character and affective substance of the music will often shift abruptly within each  recording and live performance. 

Life Garden was formed in 1989 from the ashes of Maybe Mental whose two core members were David and Su Ling Oliphant. They invited poet George Dillon to the group, but tragically he passed away by the time when they released their debut "Caught Between the Tapestry of Silence and Beauty" (1991). Subsequently, Life Garden added Peter Ragan and Bill Yanok, who eventually departed in 1995. Life Garden broke up in 1999.

 Voice Of Eye is the duo of Bonnie McNairn and Jim Wilson who began working together when Bonnie joined the avantgarde ensemble Cruor based in Houston (Texas). After Ure Thrall left Cruor, the other members continued on as the noise/industrial combo Esoterica Landscapes 7, eventually paring down to Bonnie and Jim who then changed the name to voice Of Eye. In the early 1990s, they collaborated with Ure Thrall's Terminus (2) project and recorded and performed as part of the short lived ensemble Asianova. (all the info ffrom Discogs)click me

Another great cassette by this uncompromising female noise artist, owner of  BV Tapes.
This project and her label have been covered a few times in this blog.

In this tape-work, Hex Minora plays her usual psycho-sexual dark electronicks.

8 tracks of harsh noise mixing loops, weird vocals messages, cold synth textures, subliminal deviated feedbacks and hypnotic blasting sounds.

HEX MINORA-Under A Pornographic Sun-(Pylon Recordings-UK-1997)

Another excellent tape by this female noise artist who also ran BV Tapes.   Already covered in this blog. This tape came out in a VHS box and include also a short interview although it is not specified where and when it was published.Recorded 1994/1995. Remixed 1995. Limited to 100 copies.

The music here is a cacophonous magma of dark sounds touching the quite noise, the dark ambient, some crystalline esoteric electronics and more obscure sexual hypnotic messages.

Pylon Recordings was a UK based noise label active in the mid-90s, now defunct.
An astonishing tape-work.

TARKATAK/ANEMONE TUBE-Split-( Trümmer Kassetten-Transfixional Entertainment-Germany-1999)

A fantastic split CD by two German artists playing noise-ambient mixed with drone and esoteric electronicks.

Tarkatak is the project of the German artist Lurs Pruditsch; who also was running the interesting tape label called Trummer Kasseten during the mid-90s.  Tarkatak seems to be still active nowadays and has been collaborating with different artists during these years of activity: C.Reider, No, Anemone Tube, Deep, Klangwart.

 Anemone Tube is Stefan Hanser German Experimental Noise musician active since the 90s and also manager of the label Transfixional Entertaimnet.

 The audio works of Anemone Tube are a unique blend of dark ambient and industrial/noise music with a strong psychogenic impact. The use of constantly shifting and altering sounds and moods is possibly one of the most intriguing things about the audio creations of Anemone Tube.

TESTIMONIUM-One`s Last Sleep-(Hithlahabuth Records-Germany-1990)

I have very little info about this project, I only know that it is somehow associated with the German label  Hithlahabuth Records ‎, label active in the early 90s releasing mostly industrial/noise-ambient artists.

Testimonium offers us a tape with some exquisite esoteric electronicks, weird chants, noise ambient, and cacophonous passages building  ravenous disturbances that are composed of several aggressive frequencies. 

A great tape for contemplative inner flights.

ORDER 1968-Il Giardino Delle Rune-(Hate Productions-Italy-c60-1992)

Order 1968 is the personal project by Claudio Dondo,who later founded the project Runes Order.He also seems to be the mastermind behind the label Hate Productions.

In this tape, Claudio plays 8 tunes reminding me some experiments of early esoteric electronicks and ambient/drone.

TWILIGHT MEMORY is a project conceived and recorded in Piombino, Italy October 1994 August 1996 by MATTI. This project is dedicated to my pisspiss lost EUROPA and his sons, to all people in anxious, restless, unstable state of mind, waiting for the total end of our foolish civilized world. This recording is a sonic mental journey through an ordinary series of days in a lost European industrialized town, symbol of the glory and shame, fascination and death of our times.
