FUGAZI - Live A Forte Prenestino - (Kontagio Produzioni-Italy-1990)

 Another live cassette at the famous social squatted center Forte Prenestino released by Kontagio Produzioni back in the 90s. Fugazi needs no introduction,and they played in this squat a few times, this is their gig on the 24/10/1990, the recording is OK and I left it unindexed.

Bulimia Banquet Poster - (Discarica Squat Productions-Italy-1991)

 The big screen printed poster made by the squatters of the social squatted center Discarica In Foggia for the gig of the American Bulimia Banquet on sunday 5th May 1991. I posted their great live tape in Forte Prenenstino in Rome during the very same tour. Nice big Poster !!

 Lo fi Recording of this legendary gig by Herny Rollins band at the famous Forte Prenestino squat in Rome.The recording isn`t the best and I would say that this tape is for the die-hard fans of the famous singer.

ALICE DONUT-Live 19 Ottobre `92 Forte Prenestino-(Kontagio Produzioni-Italy-1992)

To paraphrase Donny and Marie, this durable New York combo is a little bit Zappa, a little bit cacophonous punk. That combination makes its quirkcore expeditions either grin-inducing or grating, depending on one’s ability to stomach the unique vocal style of frontman Tomas Antona, whose high-pitched screech falls somewhere between Perry Farrell and Sparks frontman Russell Mael on the weed-o-meter. While it took the quintet a while to find its footing — the first two albums are little more than extended, grad-school fortified fart jokes — Alice Donut did develop a knack for sniggeringly malevolent tweaking of mainstream and underground mores alike. BULIMIA BANQUET-Live A Forte Prenestino il 4/5/91-(Kontagio Produzioni Tapes-Italy-1991) -REISSUE+Recalls by Jula Bell and Al Hansford

On the 27th of Sept 2017, I posted this great tape by this amazing band. One year later Jula Bell(the singer) got in touch with me, she kindly rectified some of the song titles and agreed to write some memories about this gig!
Here I am going to attach what Jula and Al Hansford(the guitarist) wrote about it: "It was 30 years ago, but here is what we remember about that day:  First off, we were the last minute add to the show.  I guess Andrea Rossini who was the sound man from Leoncavallo  (who was riding with us) must have talked to Luciano or someone over there and had us added last minute.  When we arrived it seemed like the Coliseum to us!  It was old and huge with giant dilapidated broken down walls.  I think that there 5000 or so people there for the festival, and it was a super fun night.  When we got there we met the Angelic Upstarts.  They were super nice, especially the bass player.  They were also super drunk and it was hard to understand them through their really thick cockney accents.   The bass player had to translate what some of the other guys were saying.  Since we had Dez Cadena from Black Flag in the band, we ended up throwing some Black Flag covers in with our set.  Al is pretty sure that he and Dez sang "White Riot" with the Angelic Upstarts. 

Al recalls that there were Italian Black Panthers there and recalls learning "By Any Means Necessary" in Italian.  He also recalls people giving free partial mohawks, and the touching the cold stone walls.  We stayed the night there and Al swears that he saw ghostly images marching up the corridor.  I guess that place is pretty haunted.   We had a wonderful time and Luciano and his friends were very fabulous hosts. "

CCC CNC NCN-Live Forte Prenestino 1-5-91-(Kontagio Produzioni Tapes-Italy-1991)

A live tape by this amazing dadaist anonymous noise/performance collective from Torino, Italy. Spawning from the anarchic/antagonist underground scene, CCC CNC NCN combines a bombastic old-school industrial sound with conceptual records and live shows about unpopular topics, such as suicide as an extreme choice of freedom, mass control and oppression.

This is their gig on MayDay of 1991 at the fantastic  Forte Prenestino, Kontagio  Produzioni Tapes was the distro active in this squat at the time and releasing mostly live tapes recorded in this massive squat.

BULIMIA BANQUET-Live A Forte Prenestino il 4/5/91-(Kontagio Produzioni Tapes-Italy-1991)

This is an amazing document about the Bulimia Banquet gig in this famous Italian squat.

This band from Los Angels(California, USA ) plays a very personal style of alternative punk, somehow touching the indie, the math rock, and the hardcore punk. A genial band delivering explosive live performances with funny talks and lyrics. This tape is here to prove it with an excellent recording.
