SKEW WHIFF - Advance Tape - (Self Released-Belgium-2000)

 Demo tape by the mighty Skew Whiff, I wrote about them when I posted their album Taedium Vitae. This is a kind of side project by some members of Hiatus : Azill(guitar) and Wills (Voice) join Ross of the American band Medication Time and bassist Nico from their hometown. Recorded in autumn 2000,some of these tracks will end up as bonus tracks only on the   CD format of Taedium Vitae. You find them here as waves.

THE HUNGRIES - Demo - (Self Released-Italy-1995)

 The Hungries was a trio from Pietramelara (Caserta) playing punk rock sung in italian language.This demo offers us 8 tracks of pure punk rock,well recorded and well played.The spartan cover reports a few words and song-titles.I guess this is their only production.No many info on the net about them.

WHOLE IN THE HEAD - Demo - (Self Released-UK-2006)

 Nice CD-r demo by this band from Southampton, UK.! They play a good dose of  HC punk mixing violent music and political lyrics. The cd comes with a lyrics sheet and a few info + web addresses of various indipendent political networks such as Indiymedia, Peace News, Hunt Saboteurs Association...

VASTUSTA-Demo-(Static Age-Germany-c12-2015)

 Vastusta from Turku (Finland) recorded this demo on 15/12/2015.They play a violent form of old school HC Punk in pure Finnish tradition. The c12 cassette contains 5 well recorded  tracks and it was released by the band  in Finland and  by Static Age in Germany in 2015. The cover sleeve reports info and the lyrics in finnish language. All the relevant scans included here and I left this rip as waves.

 It appears that there are many bands using this name,this is the metal band from France,active in the early 90s and this is their first demo released in 1991.

Only 2 tracks of well played thrash metal with a good recording and a spartan cover sleeve.

ANTICORPI-Civilta`,Ma Dove?-[Re-Issue,Best Sound Quality]+Biography+Videos-(Self Released-Italy-1992 > 2017)

Back in 2009, I digitalized this amazing cassette and I passed it to Radiomolotov blog! Then I have re-posted it in this blog back in 2015, unfortunately, my copy has a little glitch on 1 track. Yet many people downloaded it and some also used my rip for their Youtube channels.

 Lately, I got in touch with Pino(The guitarist) and He kindly passed me a much better copy of this demo to share here, as there was almost no info on the net about this obscure yet great band I have asked Pino to write a little biography and He also passed me many original and unreleased videos both from the 90s and from their reunion in 2017, that I, very happily uploaded on my Youtube channel.

Today I can, therefore, offer you a great sound quality of this legendary demo, I left it as wave files + some useful info about Anticorpi and a few videos.

A very big THANX to Pino for his help and for passing me all these astonishing pearls from the band`s archive.

 Biography  

Anticorpi was born at the end of 1988.

In the beginning, the line up was Jury =bguitar, Igor =bass guitar and Massimo on drums. In 1990 Igor and Massimo left the band and the line up changed with Pino on guitar, Jury on bass, Poldo on drums and Franco singing.

The band was active playing gigs from 90 to 92 mainly around the Milano and Bergamo area, but also touring the Basque Country in 1990.

In 1992, Poldo left the band and Pino started his adventure with 2000 Dirty Squatters. These events marked the demise of the band. Nevertheless, the band managed to record a demo, "Civilta`, ma dove?" in only 10 hours before they completely split up.

In 2017 and 2019 Anticorpi reunited with Stilo on bass guitar, he played the drums for a brief period in the early days, before Poldo joined the band! 
Anticorpi played 2 gigs, one at the Circolo Anarchico "Ponte Della Ghisolfa" in Milano and another one at Laboratotio Anarchico "Perla Nera" in Alessandria.

At the moment the project seems definitely dead...it seems...

MAKHNOVCINA-Demo-(Self Released-Italy-1988)

Makhnovcina was the Revolutionary Insurrectionary Army of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Революційна Повстанська Армія України), also known as the Black Army or simply as Makhnovshchyna (Ukrainian: Махновщина), was an anarchist army formed largely of Ukrainian peasants and workers^[1] under the command of the famous anarchist Nestor Makhno during the Russian Civil War of 1917–1922. They protected the operation of "free soviets" and libertarian communes in the Free Territory, an attempt to form a stateless libertarian communist society from 1918 to 1921 during the Ukrainian Revolution.(from Wikipedia).
This is instead the old Italian punk band who took the name from this army,  and this is their only tape released in 1988.10 tracks of angry and furious HC Punk with political lyrics.

I must admit I have very little info about this Italian band, they were from Northern Italy but I am not sure exactly from which town and I guess this is their only production, anyone out there with more info, please leave a comment.

REASON TO BELIEVE-Demo-(Self Released-USA-1987)

Reason To Believe was an American hardcore band from Los Angeles, California.

Active from the late 1980s to the early 1990s.This single-sided cassette was recorded at South Bay Sound May 15th + 16th 1987.

They play a powerful form of old school HC Punk fast and melodic yet quite aggressive.

CITIES IN DESOLATION-Demo,Anavyssos Session Pt.1-04/02-(1000+1 TiLt Recordings-Greece-2002)

Another cd and another project by my friend Jason, owner of the label 1000+1 Tilt Recordings a label covered in this blog many times and also prolific musician involved in many acts.

This project started as a trio and after became a duo.

Experimental music made with synth, cello, bass guitar, filtered voices and various machines. It was recorded during spring 2002 in a basement, my copy has two extra tracks, one recorded live in Mostar (Bosnia) and another one from their gig in Ljubliana (Slovenia).

The music evolves in areas such as ambient, drone, ethereal dub experiments and quiet noise.

HellisHere-HellisHere-(Self Released-Belgium-2015)

Another band where my friend Bis was involved.I spoke about him when I posted the cd by the crust-punk band Twisted System.

This demo hasn`t circulated much and it is a little gem coming out from the Liege crust punk scene.

I met Bis lately and I asked him to donate it to my blog with a small introduction.
My gratitude for his help and this gift as wave files + video.

"HellisHere formed in Liege(Belgium) at the beginning of 2014,the line up was Phil=Guitar(ex Hiatus,Twisted System),Bis=Guitar(ex Twisted System,Vision Of War),Paskal=Voice(ex Segregated),David=Drums(ex Segregated),Spud=Bass(ex Goat Vomit).

They recorded this demo on February 2015 and played a handful of gigs with a few cool bands such as Doom, Long Knife, Warcry. They played live in Berlin, Ghent, Biel and Liege.

In the same year there was a change of line up but no live shows neither any new recording.

They ceased to exist in September 2018."(Bis)

HOCICO-Autoagresion Persistente-(Self Released-Mexico-1994)

The Mexican group Hocico was officially formed in 1993 by Erk Aicrag (lyrics & vocals) and Racso Agroyam (synthesizer, programming). 
The names are anonymous of the real names Erik Garcia and Oscar Mayorga. Both cousins had been experimenting with electronic music, mixing Industrial and EBM, since they were fifteen years old and formed a band in 1992 called Hocico de Perro. The first live gig of Hocico was on February 18, 1994. Their music can be described as dark and aggressive electro-industrial. Their lyrics are mostly English although some songs are in Spanish.
The Spanish word 'hocico' means snout and is a derogatory term that indicates ugliness (i.e., ugly as a dog's snout).(from Discogs)

Pisschrïst-Pisschrïst-(Broken Noise Recs+Disarmament Recs-Malaysia-2005)

Crust punk masters Pisschrist released this tour demo in 2005, this is the Malaysian version by Broken Noise and Disarmament Recs.

9 killer tracks of pure d-beat crust punk,the lyrics included in the folded cover sleeve,a nice art-work + a great professional recording make this demo a fantastic one.

PEDAGO PARTY-In Sorgere-(Self Released-Italy-1987)

Amazing demo tape by this old band from Piacenza(Northern Italy), they play a perfect mix of postpunk and goth rock with their personal touch.

They formed in 1983 and disbanded in 1991. They have been very close to the anarchist movement during all their life. A sort of biography is here.
This is very original punk...

Raiva N2 + Bestial Devastation "Ammunition" demo tape-(Fanzine + Cassette-Brazil-2016)

Second number of this Brazilian fanzine in English language, in this issue we find interviews to Verminoize, Tony Montana,Split Veins, Para Raio De Desgraca + Conducta Destructiva, Projecto Macabro and Terror Algum plus few music reviews and some nice pictures.

It came out with the cassette by Bestial Devastation, a Brasilian Duo playing a raw grindcore reminding me some stuff by Sore Throat with a kind of lo-fi recording sounding brutal and noisy.

I guess one of them is the mastermind of this fanzine.

Included a screen printed patch and an A6 poster too by Bestial Devastation.

Get it if you are into grind/crust and similar stuff.

EXTINCTION OF MANKIND-Without Remorse-(Pas-83 Productions-Sweden-1993)

UK Crust Punk Band Extinction of Mankind were formed in 1992, and celebrate their 20 year anniversary this year (2012).
Over the past 20 years they have both recorded and toured with such punk/crust heavyweights as Misery, Wolfpack, Warcollapse, Doom, and Skitsystem to name but a few. Having been compared to artists such as Antisect and Ambeix, their sound is also akin to the crushing heaviness of Venom and Celtic Frost, pure crust to the core with heavy metallic riffs, raging percussion and socio-political lyrics furiously shouted in defiance.
With a worldwide following and devastatingly heavy live shows Extinction of Mankind are definitely an important part of crust punk history, and its future....(from their official webpage)click me

TROPICAL NIGHTMARE-Demo-(Beleza Discos-UK-2014)

Tropical Nightmare is a new band from London while trying to get into a music agreement, from the premises of playing punk music, they reach a climax of post-hardcore mixing crust and doomish-hellish music.

This demo came out with a lyrics insert in English and Portuguese, their Bandcamp page is here where you will find also their last album released in 2016.

Εκτός Ελέγχου-Εκτός Ελέγχου-(Self Released-Greece-1985)

Εκτός Ελέγχου Romanized to: Ektos Elenghou Translated to: Out Of Control. Punk/Rock'N'Roll band from Thessaloniki, Greece. Started playing in 1982 as "Συν Και Πλην", but in 1984 they changed their name to "Εκτός Ελέγχου". They released a Demo cassette in 1985.(info taken from a discogs page deditcated to them). A wikipedia page about them is here only in greek language.  I have no idea how this tape ended up in my collection,some greek distro must have sent me long time ago,I didn`t know anything about this band as I could not even read their name,everything changed when my friend Zina(big thanx) translated  their name and so I could search info about them on the net.On the cover sleeve there are only the songtitles(in english),no info of any sort.Maybe this is the demo that came out in 1985 but I am not sure 100%.It has a good recording.Anyone out there with more info about this tape???Enjoy the punk rock sung in greek.

LUCHA AUTONOMA/RABIA PROLETARIA-[Demo Split]-Militancia Punk-(JAR Kore-Mexico-1997)

Split demo with 2 mexican punk bands both playing HC punk mixed with some ska and both very politically involved in social struggles.

The cover sleeve reports an article about the anarcopunk movement.Good recordings although totally DIY and a colour sleeve finish this amazing split tape.It was released by the Jar Kore Records,a little totally diy label managed by the anarchist punk collective of Mexico City:Joventud Antiautoritaria Revolucionaria. 

 Both bands seem to be still active.
