THE BIGOTS/CLINT- Dirty Squatters And Filthy Punk Rockers-(Human Error Recs/Santiago-Australia/Italy-2000)

Split 7inch with The Bigots from Australia and Clint from Italy, it was a benefit for Patti of Laboratio Anarchico, an anarchist squat in Milano, very active during the 90s.

The Bigots play a personal form of punk rock while Clint assaults us with their angry power- violence. The folded cover sleeve reports lyrics and info. (all the relevant scans included here and I left these tracks as waves)!

Human Error Records was an Australian label from Brunskick active at the end of the 90s, Santiago was a small DIY label from Brugherio, Milano, active during the end of last century.
Enjoy it.

DEPRESSION - Money Chain - (Reactor Records-Australia-1984)

Depression formed some time in 1982 in Melbourne, Victoria, on the East coast of Australia. Smeer, who had been playing in the early Australian punk band The Desert Rats, met up with two locals called Liddy and Spike (no, not the girl from Degrassi). After only a short while, Depression started to play regular shows at "The John Barleycorn Hotel". After about a year of playing there, Depression began playing at "The Seaview Ballroom", a venue which became a mainstay of the Melbourne Punk/Hardcore scene. Around this time, the Dead Kennedys toured Australia, and talks between the band and Jello resulted in Depression being part of the legendary Welcome to 1984 compilation on Maximum Rock'n'Roll Records.

After being approached by Phil MacDougall of Reactor Records (Perdition, Vicious Circle, etc.), the band went into a studio and recorded three songs for $120. These songs, "Money Chain", "Soldiers Never Cry" and "World Leaders", became the Money Chain EP and the first record for Reactor Records.

In 1985, the band went into a "good" studio to record material for a full length. Hassles with printers and not obtaining the sound the band wanted resulted in a delayed release for Depression's self titled LP. Despite the delays, the record was one of the most important for the band and the Reactor Records label.

November 1985 saw the release of the band's next full length, Australia, Australia. Again on Reactor Records, this album received good reviews in the US and UK. Things were looking up for the Depression/Reactor partnership.

However, in 1986, Phil's reluctance to finance an overseas tour for the band ended the relationship and Depression and Reactor parted company. However in 1988, Depression appeared on the famous Not So Lucky Country double LP on Reactor Records. In the meantime, Depression headed in a more metallic direction, releasing the Ultra Hardcore, Mega Heavy, Punk, Metal, Thrash live album, the Thrash Till Death album and finally in 1989, the Hardcore History album which was made up of demos and early cuts.

In 1989, Depression called it a day after mixed reactions to their later work and differences within the band. Depression were one of the most successful Australian Punk/Hardcore acts from the era. (info from Discogs)

PROTON ENERGY PILLS - Survival/Symmetry - (Waterfront Records-Australia-1989)

The Proton Energy Pills were a hi-energy Australian band from Wollongong-via-Detroit that muscled their way into the thriving Sydney scene in the late '80s, an hour's drive to their north - and fell apart soon after. Two singles and a mini-LP are the physical legacy from a couple of years hard work, but the band members went on to form or play with (Tumbleweed, Brother Brick, Asteroid B-612, The Yes-Men).
The Waterfront Records label was started in 1982 by Steven Stavrakis while he was working at Phantom Records. It's first release was JFK and The Cuban Crisis "Careless Talk Costs Lives" EP.
In 1985 Stavrakis and Phantom co-worker Frank Cotterell opened the Waterfront shop in York Street Sydney. Later joined by Chris Dunn (another ex-Phantom colleague) the store move to Sydney's Haymarket and eventually back to York street where the dream ended.
The name Waterfront was appropriated by MGM Distribution who released a number of records utilising the name Waterfront. This was done without the knowledge of the "real Waterfront" label owner (Stavrakis, or his partner Dunn).

LUBRICATED GOAT - Schadenfreude - (Black Eye Records-Australia-1989)

Australian noise-rock band, whose main member was Stu Spasm (born Stuart Gray). Lubricated Goat fell apart after Stu was stabbed during their 1991 tour. Stu reformed band few years later, however, with all-star line-up which included members of bands like Cop Shoot Cop.

Black Eye Records was a subsidiary of The Red Eye Record Label in Sydney, Australia in the mid to late 1980’s. It was started specifically to accommodate the darker and irreverent music created by the consortium of Tex Perkins, Stuart ‘Spasm’ Gray, Lachlan McLeod, and Peter Read. It was deemed by all involved that a separate identity was necessary for the very different sounds and outlook to Red Eye. Black Eye officially ceased to exist when the parent label ran short on cash at the end of the 80’s - but all due royalties were paid, and the principal entities were going their separate ways anyway by then. Much of the story, and graphics, of Black Eye can be found in the recently published 252 page book ‘Snaps, Crack, Pop!’ assembled by the Labels’ founder John Foy with original Red Eye art director Jim Paton - released October 2018.

STATIC ICON-Slave-(Machinery Records-Germany-1997)

Static Icon is a synthpop band. They started in Adelaide, Australia as a three-piece band called "Das Concept". In their first incarnation, they were a Depeche Mode cover band. Gradually they introduced more and more original material into their set. To complete the transition to a fully original band, they changed their name to Static Icon and dropped all but one or two Depeche Mode covers from their set.
Through association with bands in the Melbourne, Australia industrial music scene they were introduced to and subsequently signed with EBM label Machinery Records in Berlin, Germany, with whom they released two albums, starting with Sin Machine in 1995.
Their first album was recorded in Adelaide, but there were some issues around the master tapes being stolen. Shortly after they moved to Berlin, Germany where much of the album was re-recorded.
Their second and best-known album Slave was produced by Marc Heal and released in 1997.
Static Icon toured the better part of 1997 with the "SLAVE TOUR" The breakdown of communication with the members and the record label resulted in the cancellation of the second leg of the European tour. The band needs their own personal space for a while. Alan Wicks moved to London where he would start writing the third Static Icon album. Timo Bishop married his German girlfriend and moved back to Adelaide, Australia and Micheal Walker moved back to Melbourne, Australia.
1998 saw Alan Wicks moving back to Australia to finish writing the third Album. Melbourne and Sydney both played their role along with London in his demoing this album, which was written about his own experience as a wide-eyed person that moves to a mega city and how he sees that our conditionings as humans and our ideas of right and wrong and our man-made laws and beliefs don't work with this new era of the Mega city life style. The album was finally demoed at the end of 1998 and was ready for to go into the studio to be completed. Noise records were desperate for the band's third Album to be released and were putting on the pressure to hand over the work to them.

ALPHANE MOON-The Echoing Grove-(Camera Obscura-Australia-1999)

I spoke already about this Welsh project when I posted the fanzine with the same name.
Alphane Moon was a duo:Dafydd Roberts and Ruth McDonald. They were into psychedelic culture, paganism and space rock.
In this great album they offer us 8 tracks of amazing avantgarde music mixing space rock, weird folk, dronish experiments, poetic sounds and more fantasy `s jingles.
"The Echoing Grove" was recorded during 1994 at Ciliau Aeron, Erwlon and Dolaugwyddion-uchaf in Wales, and was originally released in 1996 on various tape labels in a total quantity not amounting to more than 100.I must have the tape as well somewhere,I will therefore post the cover sleeve of that tape in future.
Amazing music...great graphix too,I just love it.
Enjoy it.

EUNUCH/THE SCROUNGERS-Split Tape-(Pagan Waste Tapes-Australia-c60-1994)

Split cassette by those 2 Australian bands-Eunuch seems to be a  duo or a solo project playing just with a distorted guitar  and screaming thoughts against the system-society,fashion ,hate, racism and more related issues.Recording is not the best but it works quite well in its unity.
The Scroungers is an harsh and angry one man playing  furious HC punk with similar political ideas. His recording is pretty good.
A nice tape for  some kind of HC Punk lovers.

Various Artists-BLATANT PROPAGANDA,vol 1[cd-r+zine] (Blatant Propaganda Zine - Australia-1998)

Australian electro-industrial label which after many years of activity went into hibernation and offline in 2004 and resurrected in 2009 as a scaled down format as a compliment to the original and main project, Eye (3)
(from Discogs)

This cd is not listed on Discogs and I think it is their first compilation. It came out with their zine(included here). The zine covers issues such as pharmaceutical frauds, against Mcdonalds, East Timor, cancer research, vaccination`s frauds and more.
The compilation is very good covering electronica, industrial and darkwave packed with very underground artists: Eye, Testube Sterile, Zeitgeist, Keystone, Novakill,T roll, Centrifuge, Aya and many more.

Professional recordings and good songs. Here 2 small reviews taken from one of their flyers:

"Blatant Propaganda vol. 1 has been keeping itself busy in my cd player for many moons.I have been really surprised by the high standard both of the bands and quality of the sound on the cd.I was able to appreciate all the bands involved in the project"(Terry Goldfain, editor of Revelations magazine - Adelaide ,Australia).

"that cd sampler is GREAT" Lord Litter, Germany-dj on Europe-wide  Radio Marabou.

It was released in a strictly limited edition and it was sold for only $5 or 4 IRC.
They are still active, here their webpage. On the same page you`ll find the list of all their old productions that are not available any longer, this compilation is one of them.
A very good one for people into ebm, darkwave,i ndustrial and the like.
Enjoy it!

BONE MACHINE-Rick ate the satellite-(diy - 1993 -Australia)

Another old band with a common name-there are actually few bands with this name but I could not find any info on the net about this one and I cannot recall who sent me this tape back in 1993.
They are Australian and they play a kind of punk that splash into the new wave and into the pop at the same time.Excellent studio recording and a funny cover sleeve. If you know  more about them then please leave a comment!!!
Get it if you are into melodic and mellow punky sounds.
