Chumbawamba is a very famous band and it doesn`t need an introduction here.You`ll find lots of info on the net,a wikipedia page about them is  here and their well done webpage is here. 

This tape is not listed on the discogs page dedicated to them,it was benefit for an Italian group of  the Animal Liberation Front.

It came out with a small booklet attached to the cover sleeve where you`ll find the lyrics and info about those 13 unreleased songs + an introduction about the court case against this ALF group.

Orange World is the band  before Earth Citizens,I posted one tape by them,you`ll find it here.
Pleasant Valley Children is one of the band by  Sned of Flat Earth Records,about this cool label you`ll find lots of info and free downloads in their blog,go here.
This tape was recorded live in a squat in Zurich(Switzerland) on 09/07/1990.You will find lots of info + the lyrics in the folded cover sleeve.

Another astonishing release  by the amazing  Bawler Productions,I posted already few tapes released by this good label.

Here a concept compilation:"Imagine you are in a big and empty hall and you should fill it with sound and atmosphere". The Results...are amazing sound sculptures by very good artists active in the 90s. 

It seems that every cover sleeve had a different glued image.

RISONANZE-Continuare Ad Esistere-(Self Released-Italy-199?)

This is a band which I do not know much about.They play HC punk with a brilliant attitude and good songwriting.This tape was released together with a booklet and I do not have it ,therefore I  do not have lots of info that I reckon,were listed in the  booklet.

I can only suggest the lovers of  Italian HC Punk to get this tape as it is a good one.

EHI-Missing Pieces-(F.D.R. Tapes-Usa-c60-1996)

EHI is the personal project of Brian Noring, mastermind also of this nice tape label called F.D.R.!

Also in this tape, Brian composes a puzzle of deviated noises, fragmented industrial pieces and experimental electronic jingles.

HERB MULLIN-Arthole-(Demonosound-Finland-c30-1994)

Herb Mullin is another name for the noise artist Lasse Marhaug: (b. 1974) has since the early 1990s been one of the most active artists in the Norwegian noise/experimental music scene. As a performer and composer he has contributed to well over 300 CD, vinyl and cassette releases over the years, as well as extensive touring and performing live on all continents of the world. In addition to his solo work, Marhaug has collaborated with several artists in the fields of noise, experimental, improv, jazz, rock and extreme metal, as well as working with music and sound for theatre, dance, installations, film and video. In the mid-90s Marhaug started TWR Tapes (still going) and Jazzassin Records (ended 2001). In the 2000s he started the record labels Pica Disk and Prisma Records. In 2011 he started his own print publishing called Marhaug Forlag. He has also been active as an organizer, promoter and producer. Marhaug was born in the northern regions above the arctic circle of Norway, but currently lives in Oslo.(from his own webpage.

KARCERAL FLESH-Closed Eyes On A Bloody And Shameful Past-(Self Released-France-c60-1992)

Karceral Flesh is the solo projec of Franck Kervizic mixing   minimal weird electronics,harsh industrial, nasty lyrics with restrained percussive passages of deranged fantasy.

Very good recording and graphix works.

FEEL THE FAIR-Libera Danza-(Self Released-c46-Italy-199?)

Feel The Fair was a band  from northern Italy.They play a form of melodic punk rock reminding me some stuff of Kina or Husker Du,unfortunately the recording  is not the best.

The cover sleeve  has the lyrics and the contacts.

I don`t think that they are still active.

There are no info listed in the cover sleeve beside their address and the songtitles.

TEM OPH AB-Le Chele Di Hypnos-(Self Released-c46 -Italy-199?)

Tem Oph Ab is one of the personal project of Marco Farina,also involved in  Il Mestruo Delle Puttane.
In this one side only tape tem Oph Ab offer us a rather esoteric minimal tune with obsessive percussions and  strange sonic disturbances.

Marco also used to run the label Rarefazioni Uterine, this label has been active from the 90s until 2003,It seems that Marco is still active as musician with the project I.M.D.P.!

This is an amazing compilation of atmosferic brutal death metal with very oscure  yet brilliant bands.
Maybe we could call this music esoteric death metal or something similar.

If I am not misteken this was released by Cyril Herry,artist already covered in this blog when I posted the excellent fanzine "Le Journal De Ruines"

Very good compilation of abstract,post punk,new wave,industrial and experimental music edited and distributed by the english Rorschach Testing Product,old  cassette label active in the 80s and now defunct.

It came out in a clear vinyl pouch with 20 page booklet profiling each artist,all the scans provided here.

SMALL CRUEL PARTY-Stercoranism-(Sounds For Consciousness Rape-France-1993)

Small Cruel Party is Key Ransone,his work is focused on the inherent mysterious and beautiful quality of sound itself, with the emphasis on noninstrumental sound sources, the source itself not being readily apparent. Work generally involves manipulation of physical objects in acoustic space and a great deal of concentrated activity. Even in pieces involving dense sound at high volume the resultant effect is one of intense calm. More recent work has incorporated various influences related to studies in Buddhism (zen and Tibetan) but without including or perhaps suggesting any obvious references. 
Sounds For Consciuosness Rape is a  defunct French label active in the early '90s in the industrial/noise area and well-known for its limited edition releases. 
This tape came out in a hard leather case.

M.D.G.-Ultimi A Morire-(Self Released-Italy-1989)

Furious and chaotic HC Punk with few metal riffs in this first demo by M.D.G.!!Their name stands for Millions of Dead Glams,hailing from Trani in Southern Italy,they sing of riots,emotional problems and freedom.

The recording is pretty good and the folded cover sleeve has the lyrics and few pics too.

TATSUYA YOSHIDA-Solo Works-(Magaibutsu-Japan-1989)

Yoshida Tatsuya(b.1961) is one of the most innovative drummers,composers and improvisers on the Japanese avantgarde scene.Best known as a founding member of energetic  drums+bass duo Ruins(continued as a solo project Ruins Alone since 2004),founder and leader of influential Zeuhl band Koenjiyakkei(often cited as Japanese Magma and many other bands and collaborations(John Zorn,Fred Frith,Derek Bailey,Otomo Yoshihide and many more).(from discogs)

There is so much to write about him that I would very probably get lost,so I don`t even try but you can just visit his very well done webpage to read about all the bands in which he played,the long discography,the gigs and all the rest.

MAEROR TRI-Yearning From The Secrect Of Nature-(Fool`s Paraside Recs-UK-1992)

Maeror Tri was an ambient, noise and drone music band from Germany founded in the 1980s which consisted of Stefan "Baraka H" Knappe, Martin "GLIT[s]CH" Gitschel and Helge Siehl.

They used only live instruments to produce music with enormous amount of effects applied. They disbanded in the late 1990s after releasing a number of limited-edition records. They released music on labels such as Old Europa Cafe, Ant-Zen, Staalplaat, and Soleilmoon.

Stefan and Martin continued under the name of Troum, while Helge is recording as Tausendschoen. Stefan Knappe is also the founder and owner of Drone Records.(from wikipedia)

Fool`s Paradise Records was a small english label releasing experimental electronics on CD / vinyl / cassettes.It is not active any longer.

Lola Fish n. 10-(Fanzine-France-199?)

Short fanzine edited by Bruno Pommey in Mainvilliers (France) mixing mail art,random artworks and reviews of fanzines and cassettes.In this issue also an auto-interview by the Italian mail artist Ruggiero Maggi and the French mail artist Jean Francois Robic + an interview to the German composer/musician and mail artist Harald Ziegler.
31 pages full of info about the very underground network of mail art and zines makers.

I guess it was printed in 1990 or  early 1991 although there is not date listed anywhere.

The flyer by Red Neon Tapes requesting artists for the very first compilation by this label moved me deeply.

BRUTOPOP - Defrost - (Flop Records-Italy-2001)

Here the double compilation cd by the genius Brutopop-a very difficult band to review because they played for a long time changing style as the years were passing by...yet they kept their original aurea of proto punk/rap/hip hop/art rock and electro madness.

This double cd gives us a great compendium of what they managed to create in their life.

A very good example of creativity and exquisite fantasy.

ESTASI ACIDA - PornoHorrors - (BV Tapes-UK-c60-1994)

Another tape-work by the ghost collective E.A.,project covered in this blog many times already. Here the same info that I passed to Vita Ignes Corpus Lignum blog 5 years ago.
This tape was released in 1994 by BV tapes in England. It came out with a small booklet (A5 size) with copy art- works inspired by the subject of the title. Most of them were copy-art works that were also used for a few mail art projects, or as contributions to a few graphics zines. Also the tape was wrapped in “blood red” medical gauze, closed with a pin. (pictures included here).
The inspirational themes for this tape were ”pornography” thought as a lustful pleasure and “horrors” thought as fear/pain/suffering.
The music is a weird attempt to put together sound-collage, field recordings, percussions, and more random noises. A strange trip into the realm of torture and pain and pleasure/orgasms. For this project, E.A. means Acid Ecstasy.

MISSING FOUNDATION-Live In Island-Amsterdam-1989-(Not on Label-Holland-1989)

Missing Foundation is Industrial Noise outfit from NYC. Their logo shows a martini-cocktail glass turned upside down meaning "the party's over!". 

Missing Foundation made a point of fighting gentrification in New York's Lower East Side and other metropolitan areas. They left their logo painted on walls where ever they travelled. 

Walking around in major European cities in the late 80's/early 90's you would find this all over the place.(from their discogs page) and here a webpage where you`ll find more info and biography.

Sea Sheperd was an anarcopunk band from France,focused on the animal rights and related issues.

EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES-Uhn-(Self Released-UK-1995)

Educational Resources seems to be the personal project by J.D. Boswell, he uses different media to deliver his messages: this tape is crafted with lots of artworks, a small fanzine with few interesting articles and pretty nice graphics too (all the scans provided here).

I have already posted another tape by this unknown project, here that post.

The music is an amazing sculpture of sonic dissonances, dronish sounds ,and noise ambient birds chants.

AOS3 - Apparently We Had A Great Time - (Self Released-UK-1992)

AOS3 formed in Sunderland, UK in 1990, taking their name from the initials of Augustus Owsley Stanley III, LSD chemist and sound engineer. The bands logo comprises interlinked anarchy, peace, Om, and Yin Yang symbols, which together spell out ‘AOS3’. 
In the early 1990s before the 1994 Criminal Justice Act the band played on the free festival circuit throughout the UK including the infamous Castlemorton. AOS3 also toured regularly with bands such as Radical Dance Faction, Citizen Fish, Culture Shock and Back To The Planet.
Part of the anarcho punk movement, AOS3’s lyrics reflect the bands political stance. The songs ‘Battle of Trafalgar’ and ‘Dubbin’ Up a Riot’ describe the 1990 Poll Tax Riot in Trafalgar Square, and the bands’ cover of the The AK 47’s ‘Tottenham 3’ protests the innocence of the three men wrongfully imprisoned for the murder of PC Blakelock at the Broadwater Farm Riot in 1985. Other influences are more esoteric such as the works of Robert Anton Wilson.
AOS3 split in 1995, and singer John relocated to London going on to form P.A.I.N with Phil from Radical Dance Faction. AOS3 reformed in 2007, and have since toured with Citizen Fish, and are working on a third studio album.
