Another astonishing tape by this amazing duo, I wrote about them many times on this blog.

Dsip is Dieter Mauson+Siegmar Fricke  researching on sleep & dreams states, ambient hypnotic sounds in great German electronic tradition. 

This project was founded in 1989 and active until summer 1994.

After almost 20 years of hiatus they re-formed in 2013,this is their actual soundcloud page.

Also, this label is been covered many times here, it was run by Matthias Lang which evolved out of the IRRE Fanzine he published regularly during the early 1980's covering New Wave, Post Punk, and the German Underground.

This tape was recorded live on the 11th April 1992 at the 5th Independent Music & Arts Festival at OJC Clichee, Sint-Niklaas (Belgium).

Audiofile Tapes  is another legendary tape label from the same old days  based in New York and managed by Carl Howard, a great  label already covered few times in this blog.

I cannot  get enough of their astonishing music,it is just too good.

SIEGMAR FRICKE-Wash And Go-(Anachronismus-Germany-1992-c45)

"Siegmar Fricke started his first musical experiments in 1981 using tape-recorders and shortwave-radio signals to create collages of musique-concrète. After intense activities in the European tape-scene between 1985 and 1993 Siegmar Fricke founded Efficient Refineries and Ambulatorio Segreto in collaboration with Miguel A. Ruiz and Stefano Barban. He also founded Doppelwirkung together with Michael Wurzer. Several collaboration-projects with Italian sound-artists Maurizio Bianchi and Giancarlo Toniutti were realized as well.

Siegmar Fricke also activates under the monikers Bestattungsinstitut and Pharmakustik. 

Frickes approach to music is characterised by organic improvisational studies, free form, highly abstract withouth a trace of conventional. He characterizes his musical works as "Pharmakustik": Pharmakustik might be a new path of sound-innovation in today's technological music that often lacks the approach of profound sound-experimentations by focussing just on preset-sounds, melodies and familiar song-structures. I wrote already about him here.He was also involved in the amazing project DSIP.

This tape came out on Anachronismus,tape label run by Axel Ellinger in Ludwigsburg(Germany)from 1992 to 2000.The song titles were on a single little colour copies as shown in this picture.Nice idea.

As for the music:this is amazing minimal electro mixed with some techno,very nice indeed.

Another nice cassette by this amazing  duo,I wrote already about them when I posted Subliminal Sculptures,The Grim Scenario and Time Zone Eyes.

This project was founded in 1989 and active until summer 1994.

After almost 20 years of hiatus they re-formed in 2013,this is their actual blog and soundcloud page.

There are still available other 11 of their tapes ripped by me and donated to Vita Ignes Corpus Lignum blog,get them here.

I also spoke already quite few times about Cat Killer,German label managed by Carsten Vollmer,who seems to be still active as noise musician.

DSIP-Subliminal Sculptures (dsip prods-May 1992-c60)+The Grim Scenario(Toracic tapes-Spain-1991-c60)+Time Zone Eyes-(dsip prods-c46-May 1992)

Back in 2009 I passed to Vita Ignes Corpus Lignum all the tapes by DSIP that I had in my collection.
In the mid 90s I was in touch with Dieter Mauson of Dsip and we did trade lots of tapes.
As far as I know after a long hiatus Dsip are back and they released a couple of new cds,also they have their own blog.Here you can read about their new productions and download some of the old tapes,for some reasons those 3 tapes are not there neither  few others that are still available on Vita Ignes Corpus Lignum where you can also read the reviews written by Crepusculum.
I am re-posting those tapes here after  somebody directly asked me to do so,apparently the links in Vita Ignes are not working anymore for those  ones.
For the ones whom do not know Dsip-this duo (Siegmar Fricke+Dieter Mauson) is a project of great hypnotic and dream-like electro.
A classic from the past yet alive and kicking.

THE PURPLE OHM PROJECT - double k7- (Bestattungsinstitut- Germany-Love Is The Reason Why -UK-199?)

THE PURPLE OHM PROJECT is  a special project created by Gina fear from Uk  and Siegmar Fricke from Germany.
Siegmar Fricke is the famous artist involved in all those bands Ambulatorio Segreto , Delta-Sleep-Inducing Peptide , Doppelwirkung , Efficient Refineries , New Tits On The Cock , Nome De Voyage 2 
and also very active as solo artist producing  cassette and albums since the end of the 80s.
Gina Fear is the artists responding to Gina & Gipsy and From Nursery To Misery
I already posted on this blog 3 tapes by Gina Fear.
This is the only one  with the name The Purple Ohm Project and it seems to be a full co-operation between those two very talented artists. Unfortunately  I cannot find any more info about this tape,I guess it was self released by both artists as it states both labels managed by themselves.
I reckon came out in the beginning of the 90s.As for the music you can listen here some very accurate hypno-electro experimental tunes and some other nice soft synth pop songs,everything is very well crafted with love and passion.The cover-sleeves are handpainted with pastel colours.
The tape number 1 is called "My Hair On Fire" and the tape number 2 brings the name "Tribes & Our Gang Guys".No info were added in the little sheet beside the  song-titles  and the artists addresses.
Anybody out there with more info about this double cassette production????
