VOICE OF DESTRUCTION-The Seventh-(Blatant Records-South Africa-1992)

Formed in 1986 as a punk band in Cape Town by guitarist Greg McEwan Marriot, V.O.D. are considered "the Godfathers of South African metal".
After incessant performances, underground tape compilation appearances and several demo effort releases, the band strikes it big by signing to German record label Morbid Records in 1995. Watershed album "Bloedrivier" (Afrikaans for "Blood River") was released the following year. V.O.D. toured through much of Europe, finally returning back home to play at the 1998 Oppikoppi and 1999 Woodstock festivals.
The group disbanded in 1999 (with March 2009 having seen a reunion tour).
Members have included vocalists Neil "The Viking", Stewart Hendry and finally Francois Breytenbach Blom; drummers Neil "Thunder", Dangerous Dan Dion and Paul André Blom; Johan De Jager on 2nd guitar (for a short period); Radley Clack (Wacky Clacky Radley) and Diccon Harper on bass duties; with the only constant being guitarist Greg McEwan Marriott.
(from a discogs page dedicated to them)
Not to be confused with the US ambient/EBM band Voice of Destruction that released an album titled Black are the Souls of the Damned with a pentagram on the cover.
According to the band's official website, Voice of Destruction reunited for one month in March 2009 for a nationwide farewell tour in South Africa. Also, it is reported that a DVD entitled The V.O.D Archives Vol. II: Live '93 & Europe '95-'96 has been set to be released in late March/early April.
From 2009, the band is no longer active, even if they didn't split up officially, however the band announced in June of 2014 that they will perform a reunion show at Witchfest Festival in 2015.
(from Encyclopedia Metallum)
I posted the very first demo by this amazing band, you`ll find it here
and this is their official webpage.

Mail Art Show Hommage A Kurt Schwitters-(Merz Mail-Spain+Global Networking-1994)

Kurt Hermann Eduard Karl Julius Schwitters (20 June 1887 – 8 January 1948) was a German artist who was born in Hanover, Germany.
Schwitters worked in several genres and media, including Dadaism, Constructivism, Surrealism, poetry, sound, painting, sculpture, graphic design, typography, and what came to be known as installation art. He is most famous for his collages, called Merz Pictures.(from wikipedia)
This is an amazing mail art documentation about this international mail art project in which 275 artists from 37 countries sent their contributions, the documentation, printed in off set on glossy paper includes one art-work by each artist.
To conclude this post I am including here the introduction(in english) written by Merz Mail to present this very well done documentation.

Here I gonna attach some info about this tape -info sent me straight from the musicians:
"This was a tape release of our first CD which we intended to be an lp minus the 7" tracks (it contains tracks from our second and third 7" but not the first. Also a comp track.) The vinyl never materialized (a long story why)
It was released by Cryptas Records out of Mexico city. It was never really distributed in the USA and a very limited distributing in Europe, i think. We basically send people the CD and told people to feel free to reproduce."

OUR GLASSIE AZOTH-Our Glassie Azoth-(Self Released-UK-199?)

Our Glassie Azoth was a project strictly tied with Alphane Moon, I spoke already about this Welsh pagan act when I posted the fanzine with the same name and their great cd The Echoing Grove
This tape is listed on their discogs page only as cd released on the German label Plate Lunch in 1997 yet I am sure I have received it from them few years earlier as tape-production.
4 tracks(2 each side) of dronish guitar feedbacks, acid ambient and some echoing noises reverberating from imaginary distant dark fairytales lands.
For all the lovers of obscure esoteric sonics this is an excellent cassette.
If you liked Alphane Moon then you`ll love this one too.
Enjoy it.

SABIR-Fones-(Self Released-Spain-2004)

"SABIR was the lingua franca spoken in the Mediterranean ports during the medieval times, a language based on Catalan, Greek and Arab elements among others. It was born like a kind of natural progression due to the socialising of the merchants for whom the sea had become their home; people from many different cultures who were shaping their need to be understood by means of this new born language.
SABIR gives us the image of the two furthest pillars in the Mediterranean sea: on the one part we have Greece, cradle of the Western civilisation, and on the other shore the Iberian land. Two places that define the ends of the sea shared by these two lands through which, from the ancient times, sailed the ships of merchants, pirates, romantic travellers and all kinds of adventurers. These people had turned sea shore settlements into culturally rich villages and were participating in this exchange of experiences and ways of understanding and living with other lands. In a similar way the three members of the Greek-Spanish group SABIR include into their repertoire traditional pieces from Mediterranean countries, as well as others which are original compositions but still strongly influenced by the traditional music of the Balkans, Persia, Greece, Flamenco or Western Medieval music.
In a concert of SABIR ancient and oriental modes are merged with asymmetric rhythms and improvisations performed with instruments such as the Indian tabla, the hurdy-gurdy (mediaeval bowed string instrument), flamenco guitar, the santoor (Persian psaltery), saz (Turkish lute) or the zarb (Persian percussion instrument).(from youtube)
As far as I know they are part of  L`ham De Foc   one of the leading groups of a new folk movement in Spain that works the traditional roots into a new modern music concept.

Enjoy It.

ZARAZA-Slavic Blasphemy-(Musicus Phycus-Canada-1997)

Zaraza means Plague in polish, this is an amzing project by polish musicians living in Canada.
"Formed in Montreal, Canada in early 1993. They combined elements from doom/death metal with those of eastern european industrial. Imagine Laibach doing metal.
The project was laid to rest officially in July 2006."(from discogs)
A wikipedia page about them is here.
"Debut 1997 CD of this legendary Canadian duo.
Total experimental industrial doom death metal annihilation.
Head-on collision of old-school doom/death metal (Unholy, Winter, My Dying Bride) with the ugliness of old-school industrial (SWANS, Laibach, Skin Chamber).
Chosen as one of the Top 10 Albums of 1998 by Gino Filicetti (Chronicles of Chaos webzine). "(from their archive.org page)
