SCARY HAIRY Overcoming Limitations Of Being Raised As A Girl (Fanzine-UK-2014)

 

This is a zine about feminists and body hair, the stereotypes that come with feminism and other people’s stories. It is supposed to be seen by all sorts of people, feminists and not feminists; it is targeted at people to inform them.

I am not sure how positive the message is. To me the writer/illustrator of this zine seems really pissed off and has approached to zine in quite an aggressive way. For it to be fully understood this zine needs to be read first hand.

They are communicating what feminism is and issues and stereotypes that surround it. It has been communicated through passages of text together; this makes it easy to read and fun at the same time. Gender stereotypes have also been broached showing the difference between boys and girls and how they are put in boxes as soon as they are born.(review from Critical Journal)     click me

 

CONCEPT Newsletter-Feb/March/April-1994+CONCEPT Newsletter-May/June/July 1994(France-Zine-Underground Press)

Concept was  a newsletter published and distributed every 3 months by the aristic collective Cartel Experimental,they were also
producing tapes of industrial and noise music with a special interest in the avant-garde and theatre`s soundtracks.
I posted here 
the number I and II of their compilations called Mecanismes .

They had a long catalogue with their productions including bands like: Condominium,Le Manifest De L`Art Discret,G.P.U.,Retrocontrole.

Those are 2  numbers of their newsletter and are packed up with info and reviews about cds and tapes  of the industrial and experimental scene of the early 90s. 
Good tools for people into researching old informations about this scene.

Yops! Zine n1-(Fanzine-Italy-March 1994)

The number 1 of Yops zine,I already posted the number 5 few months ago.This was a fanzine assembled by Andrea Fornaca ,who also was managing  Pervert Zine.

Too Far n12-(Usa,90s-fanzine)

Too far was a fanzine edited and distributed by Adrienne, the singer of the band Spitboy.

In this issue lots of personal stories, some poetries and other random subjects + fanzines reviews.

Queeruption in London - Programme 2002 - (zine,graphix,UK)

Queeruption (a compound of queer and eruption)^[1] is an annual international queercore festival and gathering started in 1998 where alternative/radical/disenfranchised queers can exchange information, network, organize, inspire and get inspired, self-represent, and challenge mainstream society with do-it-yourself (DIY) ideas and ethics.^[2][3][4] Shows featuring queer punk bands, performance artists, and other entertainment are put on at night, while workshops and demonstrations take place during the daytime.^[3][4][5] Queeruption generally takes place in a different city in a different country every year.^[3][4] It has contributed to anarcho-queer (queer anarchist) movements.^[6] The groups that organize each event and even within the same city may have disagreements about how aspects should represent politics including queer safe spaces.^[7]
From their 2003 announcement. "Queeruption is non-commercial! Queeruption is Do-it-Yourself! We draw no line between organisers and participants. We seek to provide a framework (space, co-ordination) which you can fill with your ideas. Sexual Freedom Coalition - Annual Report -1996/1997-(UK-zine)

"The Sexual Freedom Coalition (SFC) is a pro-sex campaign organization and political pressure group based in the United Kingdom that challenges the laws which take away the sexual freedoms of consenting adults and also challenges the media and official bodies that show disrespect for sex.
The Sexual Freedom Coalition is a national UK voluntary organization whose aim is to campaign for sensible reform of Britain's antiquated and repressive laws concerning consensual sexual practice between consenting adults, and ensure no new laws creep in to prevent consenting adults enjoying sexual freedom.
The Sexual Freedom Coalition was formed in April 1996 by a group of people who decided that sex clubs such as Whiplash should not be raided and the 10th Sex Maniac's Charity Ball should not have been stopped by the police, putting its charity at financial risk.
A march was organized starting in Soho and ending at 10 Downing Street where a petition "Sex Please We're British" was presented to the Prime Minister.
Since then, there have been many triumphs and the phrase "the sexual freedom of consenting adults" has become commonly used. The SFC is consulted by the Home Office and the press, and is unique in the world. They have joined together with Outsiders and the Erotic Awards to hold conferences and events to allow campaigners to network and work together.
