TIMINGILA - Timingila - (Oral Gestation Artefacts-Usa-1996)

The Timingila is a huge aquatic creature that can swallow whole whales in one bite (the word itself means whale-swallower in Sanskrit), as written about in the ancient historical text, Mahabharata (Vana Parva 168.3). It is also mentioned in Srimad Bhagavatam (12.9.16), Ramayana (Yuddha-kanda 4.114), Susruta Samhita (Ch.45), and Caitanya-caritamrta (Madhya-lila 13.142).
This is an american noise project using this indian name and this is a compilation of old stuff .
The label is the legendary Oral Gestation Artefacts I spoke about them when I posted Human Shield cassette.
A small gift from the unknown deep oceans of the 90s...

HORNSWOGGLE-Bite The Waxed Tadpole(Oral Gestation Artfacts-Usa-1996)

Oral Gestation Artefacts was an experimental music label that existed in Saint Louis, Missouri from 1994 to 2001. It was founded to encourage local musicians from different music genres to experiment with one another in a free improvisational setting and to release recordings by such artists. It also encouraged sonic experimentation between musicians and non-musicians, as well as musicians who were proficient on traditional instruments to experiment with non-instruments. Artists studying at local universities also participated, and O.G.A. (as it was known) was also active in the mail-art and visual art genres(from discogs)
I wrote already about this amazing tape label when I posted the tapes by Timingila  and Human Shield.
About this project I am going attach here what they wrote in their catalogue.
And for all of you more curious about this label I am including their catalogue in the folder of this tape-work.
Enjoy it.

58-Get Back In-(Not On Label-c46-Usa(?)-199?)

Another mistery tape! There is no address or any info on the cover sleeve and I cannot remember who sent me this tape back in the 90s.
Somehow I have gut feelings that this artist, simply called 58, might be associated to the american label Oral Gestation Artefacts, I am not 100% sure anyway. The cassette offer us 2 long tracks with lots of spoken words, noises, ambient and some more talks.
Enjoy it.
