v.a.-Nightmare Begins At 6am-(Joukkomurha Prods-c60-1993-Finland)

This cassette was released by Joukkomurha productions in Finland in December 1993. It features quite a lot of unknown bands in the area of experimental music and/or weird sonic feelings. The compilation was assembled thinking about the subject of FEAR. Joukkomurha productions was a very active tape label in the 90s that was very keen to release any kind of weird music with no particular attention to the music genres and scenes. This release came out as a c60 tape and it had: a black & white photocopy cover with the addresses, list of bands involved, and a few other infos(included in this folder). Good muzik by very obscure projects and musicians-Enjoy The FEAR!

PAOLO DE PIAGGI-Immaginario Collettivo-(Setola Di Maiale Records-c90-Italy-199?)

Paolo De Piaggi is a very ecletic musician hailing from Pordenone (Northern Italy). In this nice cassette is crafting some weird and genial experiments fusing different styles of music. You can call this minimal, loops, industrial,no wave, electro madness or all of it melted in a fine mess or a very exquisite form of creativity. He also played in those bands:Le Bambine, Orbitale Trio, Seroxas.

Setola di Maiale is a radical label of independent musicians, improvisers and composers. It was set up in January 1993 by musicians Stefano Giust and, in the early, Paolo De Piaggi, with the intent to highlight creative music. Setola di Maiale is founded on direct participation and on peculiar creativity of all musicians involved in its music productions. From this way of working, many forms of collaborations were born along with meetings, friendships, festivals, the performances at the 48th Venice Biennale or at Radio Resonance of the London Musicians' Collective. The catalogue, initially printed on paper and from 2005 on line, thanks to musician and computer scientist Daniele Pagliero, documents both the music and the experiences of this years of work. It offers official works of soloists and groups, in the fields of so-called avant-garde or experimental music, such as free improvisation, free jazz, electroacoustic, modern composition, acousmatic music, electronic and experimental music. Contemporary music in its wider form of expression. The productions - very careful high quality cdr's, just to say that cdr's can be professionally well done, and the music can be great - has been realised according with the artists own will in a very free manner. Setola di Maiale is neither a commercial label nor an association: it's rather a laboratory/archives that operates within a free and creative environment. The polemical Prieberg's words, the exergue above, has always been used since the very beginning of the label. Note that nothing is changed in more than 50 years. DIY attitude is inevitably the only way for certain type of music to exist, in a market that either is clearly not there, or is stereotyped. Setola di Maiale could be thought also as a pure commercial utopia.(from their actual webpage.)
Enjoy it.
