TELEPHERIQUE-Sound Object-(Ant-Zen-c46-Germany-1993)

The project Telepherique began in 1989 with the intention to explore processes and working with people of different cultures. They started with mail-art projects, co-operation, and communication with people all over the world. Basically, Telepherique is Klaus, Danijela and Rene Jochim, from Würzburg, Germany, but there were others that became members of Telepherique, because of the massive collaborations and projects: Ulf Harr, Echart Seilacher, Harry Lüftl, Stefan Au, Stefan Alt and Karin... The name Telepherique is the French word for the funicular railway. This name was chosen because of the intention of gaining a view from a higher level.
Ant-Zen is deduced from "Anti Zensur" (= anti-censorship).
Ant-Zen is the most important label in the newer German Industrial scene. It started in the early 90s as a tape label that later also released vinyl and CDs. Mastermind S.Alt (Stefan Alt) also did most of the layouts and packaging of the releases. While the earlier releases are more into noise, the new output has a more technoid style that is still very experimental.
Ant-Zen was the German distributor of a lot of other labels and ran a small mailorder until 2019 when they discontinued putting out physical releases and switched to all-digital.

v.a.-Thorn Of Resistance-(Countercharge Productions-c90-UK-199?)

A long compilation tape with international anarcho-punk bands, it was a  benefit for animal rights prisoners.
Different styles of punk music (ska, HC, Crust...), the quality of the recordings changes from band to band but it is, overall, quite good.
It includes many old bands and although no date is listed I reckon this was released on the end of the 90s.
Enjoy it.

Archbishop Kebab-Yinferranodgie-(Seldom Fed Records-UK-1989)

Archbishop Kebab were a Scottish Avant-Hardcore collective formed in 1986 in Edinburgh. They had a 13-year life span up to 1999.
1989 saw the release of their first LP, produced by Tim Ellis (Jackdaw With Crowbar) and the start on the first of many European tours they shared with likeminded groups - a.o. The Ex, Dog Faced Hermans, Badgewearer, Dawson and the Stretchheads.
In 1993 they released their second LP 'Beyond Ma Ken' recorded in the studio of the Hungarian label Trottel Records.
Then came along 'Heeliegoleerie And Scunnered (but cheerie)' partly recorded in Italy ; the final Album 'Bellyhunting', recorded in 1997. (info from Discogs).

Mixing up various music styles this incredible band creates a genuine personal form of post-music embracing elements of dub, afrobeat and ska to their no wave frenetic post jazzcore.
A fantastic album of creative music.
Enjoy it.

DIE FIRMA-Die Firma-(Self Released-Germany-1991)

The very first name of this band was Firma Trötsch, they formed in 1983 and their line up was Tatjana Besson(voice+bass),Frank "Trötsch" Tröger (keyboards+voice), Key Pankonin (guitar+voice), Paul Landers (guitar ), Richard "Scholle" Kruspe (guitar), Uwe Gilbert (guitar), Faren Matern (bass+voice), Christoph Zimmermann (Bass), Lothar Greiss (drums), Thomas Schreiber (drums),probably their line up was very unsettled.
They published various live albums, few cassettes and 1 cd, only.
They split up in 1993.
Paul Lander and Christoph Schneider will join, eventually Rammstein.
A page in German language about them is here.
This cassette came out with a booklet with lyrics, pics and writings(scan included here)
Their music is a mix of indie rock and hardcore punk, quite original and personal.
Enjoy it.

The Brain Of The Monster n2-(Fanzine-Italy-1989)

Number 2 of this great fanzine created by Gherardo Boccato and
Alessandro Ceccotto of the Mail Art Archive in Adria (Northern Italy).
Their aim was to talk about unpopular subjects allowing communication via different media.
In this issue interesting articles about The Monster of Dusseldorf, the freedom of suicide, body art, Xipe Totec(an Aztec deity), Hiroshima Shadow Project, the death penalty in the USA, Tibet`s demons, the secrets of Joujuka, mail art projects and few other rather bizarre  yet creative subjects.
A very good example of underground press from the last century.
In Italian language, only.
Enjoy it.
