STIGMATHE - Lo Sguardo Dei Morti -(Meccano Records-Italy-1985)

 STIGMATHE was one of the most interesting formations of Italian alternative music between 1979 and 1986.
Fabri, who had years of collaboration in the various formations of Modena, had decided to form their own band, and leaving the roles of drummer and guitarist, wanted to deal only with singing and writing lyrics and music. From 1979 to 1981 the training was as follows: Fabri vocals, bass Chiara, Lucia and Daniele on guitar, Tamburo on drums. The atmosphere sounds were those related to 'Post Punk influence of Killing Joke, PIL, Joy Division and intimate but always strictly visionary texts sung in Italian. From 1982 to 1983 Fabri was a brother to a more extreme version of the music and lyrics heavily politicized and passed to a minimal Punk become faster and more hardcore sound characterized by the British press, sometimes mixed with reggae influences. The rest of the training did not seem particularly interested in this radical decision and aa first line broke, or rather entered a period of stasis where the singer decided to revamp the line up almost completely. On the night of 31 December 1982 decided, along with new bassist Luca Vanni brother of the famous DJ of Blacks and then Rokka Radio Antenna Uno Rock Station, to overhaul the training while keeping the original name of the band.

Training as it remained until the end of 1986 was composed of:

* Fabrizio Fabri Bucciarelli - Item
* Gianluca Artioli - Guitar
* Luca Neri - Bass
* Enrico Sirotti - Battery

Note: The first training Stigmathe with which they performed live only in the first three concerts in early 1983, included drummer Bonzo.

Fabri wrote all the texts and all the music except for "Lo sguardo dei morti", the title track of the second Ep, where he contributed only with text.

Since the end of 1983, and consequently the release of their first EP entitled "Suoni puri della liberta" began a long series of concerts and many date to the Virus Milan thanks and appreciation of other bands such as interest and Wretched Crash Box.

Countless concerts throughout Italy both within self-managed areas, both in normal live alone or with other formations.

After the departure of guitarist, Fabri returned to play the guitar transforming STIGMATHE in training three but after the concert in Verona with the Americans DOA decided to look for another that could assist the guitar.

The band broke up in late 1986 and each member went on to play in other local training including Anubi.(from Discogs)
