PIZ8 & BRANDELLI D`ODIO-The split Tape 23 Years After-(Scaglie Di Rumore-Italy-2017)

 Split tape with two bands from the Foggia Squats scene (Southern Italy)!I have posted many productions and video/perfomances by Brandelli D`Odio, I have, also, briefly wrote about Piz8 when I posted the  international compilation Into Service For Citizen?.

This cassette contains many unreleased tracks by PIZ8 and some by Brandelli D`odio, it came out with a small booklet reporting lyrics, pictures and an interesting introduction in English and Italian languages.

LA FALLAS DEL SISTEMA/BRANDELLI D`ODIO-Split Mexico/Italia-(Estajanovismo Recs-Mexico-2000)

La falls Del Sistema is an anarcopunk band from Guadalajara(Jalisco state,Mexico)!They are active since the end of the 90s,you can check their activities using their FB page.

Brandelli D`Odio was a collective of squatters coming from different towns  and based in the squats in Foggia (Southern Italy),they were active  from 1993  until 1997, acting as a kind of open collective.Their line up changed various time according to how they were planning their shows and the different possibilities of the time-travel circumstances. They used to mix into their live shows music and experimental theatre.

I wrote about them many times and you can find lots of stuff by this band in this blog.

This split tape edited by Estajanovismo Recs ,which is the label managed by La Fallas Del Sistema, has a folded cover sleeve reporting lyrics and pics,you will find here the lyrics by Brandelli D`Odio translated into spanish.Both bands offer us good recordings too.

BRANDELLI D`ODIO/FULL SLAP-Anti-repression Tape-(Piscina Okkupata-Italy-c60-1994)

Split tape released by Piscina Okkupata (Swimming Pool Squat) active in Foggia(Southern Italy) in the beginning of the 90s.
2 bands coming from this squat and touring to raise up funds for legal expenses.I  wrote already about Brandelli D`Odio when I posted few videos and the double cd Sopravvivo ?.
Full Slap were playing a kind of  crossover music touching the punk and the funky reminding me some stuff of the early Red Chilli Peppers,very good musicians,this is one of the first bands of Renzo Ruggiero who will,later,play with  Follorum Enslamble and Arkitesi.

This tape came out with a booklet containing leaflets about the squat and lyrics of the bands.

It was recorded at the The Blitz Squat in Rome:the recording  is not  always good.

I guess this is only for people into political messages rather than just music.

BRANDELLI D`ODIO-Sopravvivo ?-(Double cd-r+Booklet-Self Released-2006-UK)

I passed this one to Radiomolov  and Misterioso Impossivel blogs few years back yet those links are dead now.

I  posted few original video performances by Brandelli D`Odio and therefore I spoke already about them here,here and here.

I haven`t  posted any music by them yet,so this time you`ll find here "2 cds+booklet discography "released in 2006,limited edition of 200 copies,it is sold out and I released as digital format  to let it circulate via the net.

To whom missed the other posts here a brief introduction to this punk collective:

BRANDELLI D`ODIO-Carne Di FangAzione (Video-PerfoConcert-Original Recording 1993/94>Final Editing 2014)[New and Unreleased]

Brandelli D`Odio was a kind of open anti-art-collective active in the 90s.

I wrote already about them when I posted the video-performaces:Alarms:Symptoms of Emotions to Come,

Non c`e` Uscita and the track No Tanax.

 

This is the very first experimental theatre-performance by this band,It was an idea already performed by the ghost collective E.A.,I posted the very first document of this performance:Carne di FangAzione by Estro Assente.

Brandelli D`Odio extended this basic idea to a full long piece of 30 minutes,6 "actors" experimenting live punk music mixing it with  video installations,spitfire

half-nude bodies,original papier mache` masks,dark ambient,mud,slides,painting and engagement of the audience into the show.

I left the original music of the videos and I made a very little editing of those  recordings trying to retain the pure vibes of those shows.

Those videos were recorded at the live show in Pishina Okkupata of Foggia in November 1993,the social Squatted center Labirinto in Benevento in January 1994 and the social squatted center in Avellino in February 1994+ pieces of the show at the 10 days anarchist meeting in Montemarenzo in August 1994.

A very big thanx to all the people whom filmed those shows and passed us those video recordings.

 Although recorded in the beginning of the 90s those videos are completely unreleased and never been edited before, the quality is pretty good if you think about the basic settings of dark lights used during those performances and the video-cameras of that time.

Ispirational thriving force-points are fantasy,rebellion and repression.

I added more info in the video and it has english subtitles.

A very big thanx to Full Slap ,a band of friends who gave us full support while touring together sharing instruments,stages,basic needs and lots of fun,more thanx must be added to all the squatters in Foggia and in the places that we visited,too many to write down here.

BRANDELLI D`ODIO-No Tanax-(Video-Italy-Original Recording 1993>Final Editing 2013-Unreleased]

Another video by Brandelli D`Odio this time not a  long "theatrical performance" but a very short HC Punk song, in fact 1 minute only.This is the very first line up of Brandelli D`Odio and the video was recorded in the practise room of the Squatted Swimming Pool(Social Squatted Center in Foggia-Southern Italy) during October 1993.Gianni was the vocalist,only for this track and the lyric is about the tanax.

The intro and the outro are fragments taken from Electric Tie by Emblema Angelico as those two projects were very closely connected by  strong bonds.
For people into fast distorted music with a short additional electronic deviated twist...

N.I.S.-Presagi Di Un`Insulsa Rovina-(cdr-2008-Italy-diy)

N.I.S. is a crust punk band from Foggia,Southern Italy.
Nico (former drummer of Brandelli D`Odio) is playing with them,and he sent me this little introduction.

"N.I.S.(irreversible system`s necrosis)was born in 2007.In 2008 they record their first demo" Presagi Di Un` Insulsa Rovina" 9 tracks of "violent crust punk".

In 2009 They record a promo of 5 tracks "Specie Di Scarto", 3 tracks on a 7 inch split with Humus,and 2 tracks on an international compilation "Destruyendo Fronteras" released by the brazilian webzine "Crust or Die".

In 2011 They are back in studio to record 3 tracks that will be part of another split 7ich,this time with Warpath.

And then lots of gigs,gigs,gigs, ...they also took part to a protest gig! Under the wall of CIE* in Bari.

In december 2013 they finish to record 8 tracks of metallic crust punk.A new album will be released soon."

*CIE is a "house" for the illeganl immigrants where they are actually imprisoned upon their arrival in Italy.

BRANDELLI D`ODIO-Non c`e` Uscita-(There Is No Way Out)[performance/video-original recording 1995/6,final editing 2014]New&Unreleased-Eng.Subs.

Here another video performance by Brandelli D`odio-I spoke already about this  squatters collective active in the 90s!
Here that post where you will find more info about this band,also their double cd+ zine "Sopravivvo?" is still available as free download on radiomolotov blog.

This performance is the 4th idea of experimental theatre conceived  as opening for their gigs during the tour in 1995 and 1996,it was a short piece of only 10mins and it did involved at the least 6 people.
The main message was the lack of freedom into the  mental hospitals and the slavery of the psychopharmacological drugs.

This performance was mainly made in the dark with very little lights created by the slide show,therefore those images are quite dark and the overall quality of those videos is compromised by the lights effects of the slides.

The music is the original soundtrack recorded on a 4track recorder and the quality is pretty good,also this is the only soundtrack that seems a real songs rather than a musical piece for a theatre,and it is the only performance for which Brandelli d`Odio never printed a flyer to introduce it during their gigs.Those footages are totally unreleased and never used before.More info in the video.Enjoy it!!

They used to mix into their live shows music and experimental theatre.
During their short life they released 2 tape productions  and 2 seven inches, one of those posthumous.In 2006 a double cd called  "Sopravvivo?" was released, it did include almost all the discography of this band.This double cd is still available as free download on Radiomolotov blog, on that post there is a full biography too.Here for all  of you more curious about it.
Their music changes, going from fast HC punk to industrial  and dark ambient.This performance is the third idea of experimental theatre and it was performed in 1995/96.
There are few footage of this performance, however Brandelli d`Odio were also experimenting with videos and slide shows including those media in their live acts, this video is therefore a creative  yet incomplete attempt to re-create the meaning  and messages of this idea. Some of this footage were filmed in1993-94 as a media to be used in future shows or video compilations, some other is footage taken at some gigs and all together represent a way of delivering messages and creativity that was a complete part of the life of this  band.
This video is completely unreleased and shows unseen scenes and experiments of those  years.The thriving force behind the meaning of this performances is the pollution of our times both physical and mental.
If you know this band for their HC punk songs then you`ll see here something completely different.
