ARTE POSTAL Hacia El Nuevo Milenio-(Museo De Filatelia De Oaxaca-Mail Art Documentation-Mexico+Global Networking-1999)

Amazing documentation printed in off-set on glossy paper about this mail art project called Arte Postal Hacia El Nuevo Milenio, It was organized by The Philatelic Museum of Oaxaca that made an exhibition which lasted 3 months with a 3 days opening(16-18 December 1999) when there was also a performance by Clemente Padin Vs Gerardo Yepiz on the first day, a debate with various mail artists on the second day and an electroacoustic concert on the third day.
The documentation has a good introduction about this project, an article about the mail art and one about the electroacoustic gig + a selection of art-works by international mail artists.
Very well done and with interesting articles and critics, this mail art document will make happy all the art postal aficionados.
All the texts are in the Spanish language, only.
Disfrutalo.

Muerte En La Industria-Tu Vida-(Speedstate Records-Japan-2005)

Cd-discography by this raw noise punk band from Mexico City active in the mid-80s, they had a short life, only a couple of year and 1 demo recorded yet they left an incredible legacy!
This cd came out with a good booklet reporting lyrics, pics and an extended biography in English, Japanese and Spanish.
They reformed in 2017 for the first Punktud Fest in Mexico and played a total of 6 gigs, the last one in October of the same year, a benefit for the people in need after the earthquake that shattered the country 1 month before.
To complete this post I am attaching a pic from this reunion, the t-shirt printed on this occasion and a video live at Punkitud 2017.
A very big thanx and greetings to Nacho for passing me this great cd a few years back and the t-shirt, pics + the updates just 3 months ago.
Enjoy it.

HOCICO-Autoagresion Persistente-(Self Released-Mexico-1994)

The Mexican group Hocico was officially formed in 1993 by Erk Aicrag (lyrics & vocals) and Racso Agroyam (synthesizer, programming).
The names are anonymous of the real names Erik Garcia and Oscar Mayorga. Both cousins had been experimenting with electronic music, mixing Industrial and EBM, since they were fifteen years old and formed a band in 1992 called Hocico de Perro. The first live gig of Hocico was on February 18, 1994. Their music can be described as dark and aggressive electro-industrial. Their lyrics are mostly English although some songs are in Spanish.
The Spanish word 'hocico' means snout and is a derogatory term that indicates ugliness (i.e., ugly as a dog's snout).(from Discogs)
Their official webpage is here.
Enjoy it.

Here I gonna attach some info about this tape -info sent me straight from the musicians:
"This was a tape release of our first CD which we intended to be an lp minus the 7" tracks (it contains tracks from our second and third 7" but not the first. Also a comp track.) The vinyl never materialized (a long story why)
It was released by Cryptas Records out of Mexico city. It was never really distributed in the USA and a very limited distributing in Europe, i think. We basically send people the CD and told people to feel free to reproduce."

FORMER MEMBERS OF ALFONSIN-Former Members Of Alfonsin-(Reaccionaria-Mexico-1999)

"Former Members of Alfonsin do not contain any former members of a band named Alfonsin, so don't go looking for another band. They were, however, a really good (and interesting) mix of melodic hardcore and 90's emo sound. Fast at times and able to take it up to a frantic hardcore punk pace at times, they for the most part did the melodic hardcore thing with the old emo talk/sing-scream vocals (though some songs include alternating male/female vocals). Political, straight edge, funny- they truly deserve a proper re-release but until then they at least deserve some more recognition."(from what we want we must create a blog)
Very good recording, nice cover sleeve with lyrics and info.
Reaccionaria was a totally diy punk label from Monterrey(Northern Mexico)born in 1998 and  run by Fernando Lozano (2)
Enjoy it.
