All in all a very good effort and a great zine to browse.

PINK FLAMINGOS/HIATUS-Live In Zoro-(Musical Destruction DIY Tapes-c90-Slovenia-1996)

Live Split tape with two legendary punk bands: Pink Flamingos and Hiatus.

Pink Flamingos was a Fast Hardcore band from Berlin. After their break up some members continued in the band Stalker (21.

Hiatus was a seminal crust punk band formed in Liege(Belgium)in 1989 and active till 1996.

Two separate gigs at the famous squat Zoro in Leipzig (Germany), Pink Flamingos on the 18/11/1995 and Hiatus on the 21/03/1996.

Both recordings are pretty good and the cover sleeve reports addresses, info and song titles.

A nice live tape from the crypt of the 90s.

DREAD 101/SOCIAL INSECURITY-Split Tape-Insane Society Recs-Czech Rep-2002)

Great split tape by these political punk bands, Dread 101 from the Czech Republic and Social Insecurity from Scotland. It was printed on tape and on vinyl in 2002 by the Czech labels  Insane Society Recs and Spearhead Recs operated by the members of Dread 101.

The tape came out with lyrics in Czech and English languages, some pics + addresses.

Expect furious crust/HC punk with good recordings and amazing graphic works.

Bagger/Lieselotte–Bagger/Lieselotte-(Sorry Records-Switzerland-1999)

Amazing split vinyl with two Swiss bands from the crust punk scene of the last century. Bagger used to make performances with fire and masks while playing their furious HC punk. I think they were involved with the Schrottbar in Biel.

Lieselotte plays a violent form of grindcore mixed with HC punk...I spoke about them when I posted their Split tape with Pakita.

This record comes with an 8-page booklet with graphics and lyrics(all the relevant scans included here). 

A great vinyl for people into violent music with positive ideas and attitude.

Nervvrak ‎– Nervvrak-(Distort The World Records & Tapes-Sweden-2013)

15 tracks of pure energetic old school HC punk on this tape by the Swedish Nervvrak.

It was released in a limited edition of 120 copies,it came out with a folded cover sleeve. Their Bandcamp page is here where you`ll find this tape as a free download.

Distort The World Records & Tapes is a Swedish label covered in this blog already a few times.

HOSTILITER-Age Of Decay-(Suoni Oscuri-Italy-2012)

Hostility was a crust punk band born in 2010 in the Italian city of Viterbo,(Lazio Region). The line up was: Frederico guitar and vocals, Agostino on bass and Coli on drums.
In March 2011, five tracks for Intoxication were recorded.
The lyrics deal with such topics as a criticism of the system, war and religion.
This tape comes with a folded cover sleeve reporting lyrics in Italian and English, the recording is very good.

Unfortunately, they are no longer active yet you can check their bandcamp page here, where you find other great productions

while on their FB page you`ll see old flyers and videos.

Their music has a gloomy crust punk edge filled with heavy metallic sounds, think Amebix meets Neurosis deep in the ocean.

HellisHere-HellisHere-(Self Released-Belgium-2015)

Another band where my friend Bis was involved.I spoke about him when I posted the cd by the crust-punk band Twisted System.

This demo hasn`t circulated much and it is a little gem coming out from the Liege crust punk scene.

I met Bis lately and I asked him to donate it to my blog with a small introduction.
My gratitude for his help and this gift as wave files + video.

"HellisHere formed in Liege(Belgium) at the beginning of 2014,the line up was Phil=Guitar(ex Hiatus,Twisted System),Bis=Guitar(ex Twisted System,Vision Of War),Paskal=Voice(ex Segregated),David=Drums(ex Segregated),Spud=Bass(ex Goat Vomit).

They recorded this demo on February 2015 and played a handful of gigs with a few cool bands such as Doom, Long Knife, Warcry. They played live in Berlin, Ghent, Biel and Liege.

In the same year there was a change of line up but no live shows neither any new recording.

They ceased to exist in September 2018."(Bis)

LIFE CYCLE-The Weight Of Tradition-(Mad World Records-UK-1989)

The Weight of tradition sits heavily on all our shoulders, from the subtlest forms of enculturation to the most stringent social codes, all encourage us to lose truth in favour of habit or convention; as Blake wrote"The Establishment of truth depends on the destruction of falsehood continually"

We all possess the faculties for self-analysis along with the ability to change our modes of thought and behaviour, in reality, the stumbling block when it comes to the conscious avoidance of sexual or other forms of roleplay,is our fear of deviance,the fear of disapproval from those around us,along with anxieties based on the abandonment of our histories,our individual experiences. Shere Hite outlines the visual codes our society perpetuates,"The fact that men are allowed so little in forms of dress while women can wear all kind of things, show the value that men and the male system place on conformity, showing membership on the "male" group, because only by abiding to the rules of conformity can one prove he is part of the "male" club or the official ruling elite. That is why men adhere so strongly and with such pride to these forms, who would ever catch a man wearing a skirt, no matter how liberal?"

Hite`s words are not without humour but they still ring true, and if men cling so fiercely to traditional forms of dress, Imagine the ferocity with which they hold onto internalised norms and roles. It follows too that women are similarly attached to ideas and values that tie in with their position as the subordinate sex.

So it goes the long script on the back cover of this mini-lp, written by Marie Sheard(the singer) in June 1989. 

  Previously known as Capital Gain, the band Life Cycle started in the summer of 1986. The line-up consisted of Marie Sheard on lead vocals and bass, Ivor White on lead guitar, Neil Morgan on guitar and Chris Sheard on drums. After playing some live events, Ivor White left to join the band Shrapnel.

Harhat is a crust punk band hailing from Helsinki(Finland).
This is their first production released on cassette back in 2016 and now sold out.

NAUSEA-Live In BRNO-(Not On Label-1991)

Nausea was a hardcore/punk band from New York, NY (USA) formed in 1985 and disbanding in 1992. They were one of the few bands in the New York City hardcore/punk scene at the time playing punk/crust while most of the other bands made the trademark NYHC sound popular.
Although they just had one LP and a few 7" singles and compilation tracks they were really popular among the worldwide crust scene and even managed to tour Europe in 1991.

The cover sleeve reports only the address of the band and no song titles yet I managed to get the right song-titles double checking/listening their various productions.

The overall recording is pretty good, delivering us their full force as a very powerful live act.

GIFTGASATTACK-Lmtd Promo Dbeat Noise Crust Inferno 2008-(Warsong-Sweden-2008)

Giftgasattack is an HC Punk band from Gothenburg, Sweden.

This is their limited edition promo recorded in 2008, only 100 hand-numbered copies, a promo for the "Giftgasattack 8 Track EP".
The last track "Krigshög" is not listed on the cover.

EXTINCTION OF MANKIND-Live At MKNZ-(Atomic Fart-Slovenja-1996)

Another amazing recording at the MKNZ in Slovenia,this place hosted quite a few good punk bands during the 90s and the live recordings of these gigs are just wonderful.

I have already posted the demo by Extinction Of Mankind, on their official webpage you`ll be able to read their long history, gig, discography, news and more.

Formed in 1992 and still alive and kicking this band has made, definitely, history in this genre with a huge following of passionate fans worldwide. 

This tape is crafted with powerful tunes showing us their destructive force as a killer live act.
Very good recording and song titles in the cover sleeve.

EMBERS-Memoria Eeterna-(Not On Label-USA-2007)

Embers was a doom / black metal band with Crust edges from Oakland, California, USA.

This seems to be their very first production, a CD ep with 5 powerful tracks mixing some trash/death metal with some crust/doom punk.

Very well played and recorded this production has astonishing drawings/graphics reporting the lyrics too. The whole album is dedicated to a friend called Dominik.
It seems that they are not active any longer, on their Bandcamp Page you`ll find 2 more albums, strange enough this one is not there.

Ex Ánimo n7-(Fanzine-Sweden-2011)

Crust punk fanzine published by Jannah in Sweden, I have already posted the Number 6 and the Number 8.

In this issue long reports about the Scum Fest in London,2010 edition and  Punk Illegal in Sweden during the same year.Interviews with a  few bands and lots of music reviews. 

Also here many pictures, although in black and white as photocopy, the quality of the pics is very good, I guess it is all printed with a digital xerox machine. 

Eventually, it is only in Swedish language.
