CULT OF THE WOMB-Cult Of The Womb-(Inner-X-Musick-USA-c50-1986)

A short-lived John Zewizz side project. Cult Ov The Womb (Initially called Cult Of The Womb) was a solo project of Sleep Chamber founder John Zewizz. Cult of the womb released two cassettes and a few tracks on various artists releases between in late 1985 and 1986 all on Zewizz's Label XXX (Inner-X-Musick). Cult Ov The Womb was non-musick. Both full-length cassette releases were collages of sound centred around TV news/shows clips about James Oliver Huberty and the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre, as well as VHS samples from porn movies and main-stream movies like "Apocalypse Now" and "Taxi Driver". Very little to no actual instruments were used.

Inner-X-Musick was a label run by John Zewizz of Sleep Chamber.
Starting in 1979, the name of this label began as Triple-X (or sometimes XXX Organisation). Sometimes it was also called Innersleeve. The name Inner-X did not solidify as the main name for this label until around 1986.

ABSURD N5- An Issue Of Absolute Nothingness-(Fanzine-Greece-2001)

Absurd was an all-English written fanzine from Athens (Greece) active in the early years of last decade. It does cover many aspects of the industrial music scene in Greece and beyond.

For industrial music scene here I mean almost all its subgenres and also difficult music in a broad sense.

The concept itself for editing and writing this issue  is quite genial and I prefer to leave the explanation to the editor :
This issue number 5 evolves into info about quite a few obscure, or less obscure music labels, musicians, gig organizers and music reviews.
In some ways, it looks more like a very useful bulletin with addresses and various info.

Eventually, I feel this is a very great tool to research the lively international electronic deviated music scene of the early 2000s and at the same time a very nice example of the creative and passionate underground press.
Thanx to Jason of 1000+1 TiLt Recordings for sending me this astonishing zine a long time ago.
Enjoy it.

v.a.-IMPULSE n2-(Impulse-Fanzine+c60-UK-1992)

Impulse was an English fanzine active at the beginning of the 90s and covering industrial/ritual/noise/electronic bands. This is number 2 and I have already posted the number 4.
In this issue interviews to Muslimgause, Current 93, Thunder Perfect Mind and tons of music reviews and book reviews +a long list of bands, zines and distros contacts. The sampler included offers us a bunch of artists playing industrial, experimental electronics and techno.
A very good production exploring the lively industrial scene from the beginning of the 90s.
Enjoy it.

ZONA INDUSTRIALE-Neutro-(ADN Tapes-Italy-1985)

This is the second release by this fantastic Italian duo called Zona Industriale, I have already posted Materiali(85-87) and Requiem.
A Discogs page about them is here, this tape was reprinted in 1996 by the mighty Slaughter Productions with the title "Pornografia: Materiali/Frammenti",I am posting here the cover sleeve that Marco Corbelli chose for this reprint.
Adn was an Italian electronic/experimental/industrial label based in Milan. ADN was run by Marco Veronesi, Piero Bielli and Alberto Crosta (with one Carla Crotti also involved at some point), although Alberto Crosta was the main international contact. I have posted a few productions by this old Italian label too.
Enjoy it.

Comando Bruno / Bogart ‎– Tension Test -(Bog-Art/ECDM-Germany-c60-1985)

Comando Bruno is Rafael Flores, Spanish composer, sound and video artist. His whole work is a milestone of experimental music and sound exploration, he produces audio/video works in a very much personal way too hard to define. Rafael Flores build a solid personal universe with intelligent use of natural recordings and the methods of musique concrete, collages and plenty of other vanguard approaches, mixed with a particular sense of humour next to the spirit of dada and surrealism. One of the most active sound artists in the industrial music scene (international cassette network, experimental video, radio and mail art), he influenced new generations of experimental sound artists. His most notorious feature is the intimate poetical touch in the sound works, quite unusual for the industrial music scene. From 1991 to 2001, Rafael Flores reduced musical activity, and was involved with video art, releasing just a very limited sound works as "friends only" private editions. After a long pause, he returns to editorial activity in 2002.
Rafael Flores has published numerous works under his own name and also as Comando Bruno. Was founder member of Diseño Corbusier band and The International Mail Music Group. Many collaboration works followed with like-minded musicians, GX Juppiter-Larsen, Francisco López, Neo Zelanda, Victor Nubla, Francisco Felipe, Esplendor Geométrico, Zan Hoffman, Anton Ignorant, to name a few.
His music was released all over the world by such labels as Monochrome Vision, Banned Production, Discos Esplendor Geometrico, Korm Plastics, Zeromoon, Graf Haufen , Tonspur, and by his own labels Laboratorios No and ECDM.His FB page is here.

Bogart is Hubert Haverkamp-Cologne-based experimental musician. His actual webpage is here.(all the info from Discogs)

TELEPHERIQUE-Sound Object-(Ant-Zen-c46-Germany-1993)

The project Telepherique began in 1989 with the intention to explore processes and working with people of different cultures. They started with mail-art projects, co-operation, and communication with people all over the world. Basically, Telepherique is Klaus, Danijela and Rene Jochim, from Würzburg, Germany, but there were others that became members of Telepherique, because of the massive collaborations and projects: Ulf Harr, Echart Seilacher, Harry Lüftl, Stefan Au, Stefan Alt and Karin... The name Telepherique is the French word for the funicular railway. This name was chosen because of the intention of gaining a view from a higher level.
Ant-Zen is deduced from "Anti Zensur" (= anti-censorship).
Ant-Zen is the most important label in the newer German Industrial scene. It started in the early 90s as a tape label that later also released vinyl and CDs. Mastermind S.Alt (Stefan Alt) also did most of the layouts and packaging of the releases. While the earlier releases are more into noise, the new output has a more technoid style that is still very experimental.
Ant-Zen was the German distributor of a lot of other labels and ran a small mailorder until 2019 when they discontinued putting out physical releases and switched to all-digital.

NECROPHONIE N1-(Fanzine-France-2005)

The first and the only number of this amazing French zine all written in English! Very well done with long and interesting interviews to Lustmord, Jarl, MK9, Galeria Schallshutz, Nuit Et Brouillard, Citadel, Land:Fire, Propergol, Steel Hook Prostheses, Skm-Etr, Brethren, Barrikad, Kaos Kontrol label and Degenerate fanzine, Bestia Centauri, Somnambulant label, a good report about Providence Industrial festival 2003 + a section with loads of music reviews.
As I met in the virtual world the editor of this fantastic zine I asked him to write a small introduction for this post, A very big thanx to Nicolas for passing me his astonishing work and giving me permission to share it in this blog.
Here his words:"Conceived and assembled from 2003 to 2005, copied and sold in 2006, 200 copies print run. Prior to doing this zine, I was somehow boycotting computers and the internet - to make it, I began to get involved with computers and the internet. That was when social networks (especially early Myspace) began their conquest... I got drowned in this shit, thus there has never been an issue two. The world smothered in even more absurdity."
To complete this post I am attaching the first page with his editorial written back in 2004.
I believe this is a real gem for the lovers of the independent press about post-industrial music and related subjects.
Enjoy it.

S-CORE-A Great Lump-(Technological Feeling-Italy-c46-1987)

Another great cassette by this uncompromising artist from Japan.
Active since the mid of the eighties, Japanese musician Yutaka Tanaka released his works under the name S-CORE.
Early works are all cassette albums he put out on his own cassette label Afflict Records, many of those were recorded via mail collaboration with many sound artists from international underground scene, such as Stefano Biasin (Italy), Telepherique and Trigger B (Germany), Merzbow (Japan), Al Margolis/If, Bwana (USA), Rafael Flores (Spain).
Webpages: orc.ru, rgnz.free.fr
Technological Feeling is a self-produced label of crazy Italian experimental noise-maker Mauro Guazzotti. Released the early works of his projects F:A.R., MGZ and Open Graves Style, as well as several tape compilations featuring many international industrial and noise artists.
Enjoy it.
