v.a.-IMPULSE n2-(Impulse-Fanzine+c60-UK-1992)

Impulse was an English fanzine active at the beginning of the 90s and covering industrial/ritual/noise/electronic bands. This is number 2 and I have already posted the number 4.
In this issue interviews to Muslimgause, Current 93, Thunder Perfect Mind and tons of music reviews and book reviews +a long list of bands, zines and distros contacts. The sampler included offers us a bunch of artists playing industrial, experimental electronics and techno.
A very good production exploring the lively industrial scene from the beginning of the 90s.
Enjoy it.

S-CORE-Dysphonia-(Morpheus Editions-Holland-c60-1989)

Another great cassette by this uncompromising artist from Japan.
Active since the mid of the eighties, Japanese musician Yutaka Tanaka released his works under the name S-CORE.
Early works are all cassette albums he put out on his own cassette label Afflict Records, many of those were recorded via mail collaboration with many sound artists from international underground scene, such as Stefano Biasin (Italy), Telepherique and Trigger B (Germany), Merzbow (Japan), Al Margolis/If, Bwana (USA), Rafael Flores (Spain).
Webpages: orc.ru, rgnz.free.fr
I haven`t got much info about this Dutch label active in the 80s.
Enjoy it.

Comando Bruno / Bogart ‎– Tension Test -(Bog-Art/ECDM-Germany-c60-1985)

Comando Bruno is Rafael Flores, Spanish composer, sound and video artist. His whole work is a milestone of experimental music and sound exploration, he produces audio/video works in a very much personal way too hard to define. Rafael Flores build a solid personal universe with intelligent use of natural recordings and the methods of musique concrete, collages and plenty of other vanguard approaches, mixed with a particular sense of humour next to the spirit of dada and surrealism. One of the most active sound artists in the industrial music scene (international cassette network, experimental video, radio and mail art), he influenced new generations of experimental sound artists. His most notorious feature is the intimate poetical touch in the sound works, quite unusual for the industrial music scene. From 1991 to 2001, Rafael Flores reduced musical activity, and was involved with video art, releasing just a very limited sound works as "friends only" private editions. After a long pause, he returns to editorial activity in 2002.
Rafael Flores has published numerous works under his own name and also as Comando Bruno. Was founder member of Diseño Corbusier band and The International Mail Music Group. Many collaboration works followed with like-minded musicians, GX Juppiter-Larsen, Francisco López, Neo Zelanda, Victor Nubla, Francisco Felipe, Esplendor Geométrico, Zan Hoffman, Anton Ignorant, to name a few.
His music was released all over the world by such labels as Monochrome Vision, Banned Production, Discos Esplendor Geometrico, Korm Plastics, Zeromoon, Graf Haufen , Tonspur, and by his own labels Laboratorios No and ECDM.His FB page is here.

Bogart is Hubert Haverkamp-Cologne-based experimental musician. His actual webpage is here.(all the info from Discogs)

Kranivm ‎– I - The Blood -(Slaughter Productions-Italy-c60-1995)

Astonishing release by the legendary Slaughter Productions created and managed by the noise artist Marco Corbelli, who died on 6th May 2007. He left behind an extensive amount of work both as a label and as a musician.
His various projects were:Atrax Morgue, Marco Nothing, Marco Rotula, Mörder Machine and Kranivm.
He also played in those bands Bondi Gabbana, Necrofilia, Necrophonie, Pervas Nefandum, Progetto Morte.

The official webpage dedicated to Atrax Morgue and all his projects is here.
The Italian harsh noise label Urashima re-released lots of  Marco Corbelli works as vinyl productions,
here their webpage. Many of those productions are limited editions and some appear to be sold out now.
Kranivm was an ultra deep and obscure industrial project influenced by old spanish horror movies, ancient horror literature and dark energy.
This is pure esoteric electronix at its best.
Enjoy it.

DSIP-Camarousal-(Irre Tapes-c60-Germany-1992)

Dsip is Dieter Mauson+Siegmar Fricke  researching on sleep & dreams states, ambient hypnotic sounds in great German electronic tradition.
This project was founded in 1989 and active until summer 1994.
After almost 20 years of hiatus they re-formed in 2013,this is their actual soundcloud page.
Also, this label is been covered many times here, it was run by Matthias Lang which evolved out of the IRRE Fanzine he published regularly during the early 1980's covering New Wave, Post Punk, and the German Underground.
Enjoy it.

"Korm Plastics is not really a new label; in fact, it's quite ancient... Korm Plastics started life in 1984 as a cassette-label. In 1992 Korm Plastics released its first compact disc and quickly after that, Korm Plastics became linked with Staalplaat records. Until early 2003 Korm Plastics was part of Staalplaat in various guises and various projects — read more about this in the 'history' part of this website.
As my desire to release music I personally care for became stronger and stronger, I decided in early 2003 that it was time to stand on my own two feet. Korm Plastics goes underground again. I am no longer interested in being a real businessman. There is no schedule, no plan — just ideas and desires. Please do not send me demos of your music — I simply don't have the money nor the time to work on them. I only wish to work with people who I know personally and whose work I like.
The major project is going to be a series of re-issues from The Hafler Trio. All works that are long unavailable.Besides it, I, release music that I like. Simple as that."

SMERSH-Ordinary People-(Atlas King-USA-c60-1985)

Smersh was Mike Mangino and Chris Shepard. And from 1981 until 1994 they released far too many cassette tapes. They also contributed to far too many compilations throughout the known world. In the early eighties, they established a unique sound that is known and loved, combining cheap electronics and wild guitar sounds with distorted vocals. They were, in fact, a bit The Ramones of the industrial scene. But were they industrial? The Smersh sound had so many faces that it is next to impossible to categorize their music. Smersh recorded on most Monday evenings for a couple of hours. Each song was improvised over the course of the evening and then recorded. Once it was finished they never played it again. They never rehearsed, they couldn't read music, and they never played live.from their official webpage)
Atlas King was the tape label of Smersh, founded by Chris Shepard and Mike Mangino in 1981. Until 1991 the label had no official name and the cat.no. looked like this: SC000, from 1991 it was officially Atlas King and the cat.no. looked like: AK000.
The last release with the SC prefix is SC032, the first with the AK prefix is AK033.
In 1994 the last tape was released.
The follow-up label is Mirandette Popular.
Enjoy it.

ORDER 1968-Il Giardino Delle Rune-(Hate Productions-Italy-c60-1992)

Order 1968 is the personal project by Claudio Dondo, who later founded the project Runes Order. He also seems to be the mastermind behind the label Hate Productions.
In this tape, Claudio plays 8 tunes reminding me some experiments of early esoteric electronicks and ambient/drone.
Here a note from LastFM:
"Order 1968 was a dark ambient project formed in 1988 in Genoa, Italy by Claudio Dondo. The name of the project was changed to Runes Order in 1992. Order 1968's compositions were inspired by ritualistic and industrial atmospheres and were composed using synthesizers, pre-recorded tapes, and self-made metallic percussion instruments."
Enjoy it.

Dead Body Love is one of the names used by the noise artist Gabriele Giuliani, active since the early 90s He has been using other monikers too: Alzheimer T.V., Discordance, Drift (5), Gabriele Giuliani, Gridlock (5), Oleoresin Capsicum.

HANDS TO-Toumani-(Sounds For Consciuosness Rape-France-c60-1990)

As Hands To American artist Jeph Jerman has spent many years manipulating field recordings, creating fogs of opaque sound. Hands To uses electronic techniques to manipulate source material derived from the natural elements. This material was originally released on Mose Wreck (side A) and Christage (side B). Remixed December 1989 for release in Europe.
Sounds For Consciousness Rape is a defunct French label active in the early '90s in the industrial/noise area and well-known for its limited edition releases.Label covered on this blog already few times.
Enjoy it.

v.a.-RAMBO Vol II, I Want You To Listen-(Irre Tapes-Germany-c60-1989)

14th release by this legendary German label covered in this blog few times already. It came out as limited edition of 500 copies.
Irre Tapes was run by Matthias Lang which evolved out of the IRRE Fanzine he published regularly during the early 1980's covering New Wave, Post Punk, and the German Underground.
With his 3rd Tape Compilation Ein Herz In Not he started IRRE Tapes which was mainly active in the late 80s/early 90s and released material by the likes of Brume, Maeror Tri and City Of Worms and loads of lesser known and stylistic different artists (Unpleasant Surprise, The Fuckedtones, Magic Moments At Twilight Time, Doc Wör Mirran) covering the whole range of the Independent Underground from Experimental Electronica to Guitar Pop.
In true DIY spirit, he supported the international network of small labels and fanzines through editing the free IRRE Newsletter to spread info and contacts and writing occasional reviews for various publications. Most of his Compilations should be seen as an attempt to promote lesser-known artists and labels. Without a doubt  he was one of the driving forces of the German Tape Scene.
He finally called the label days quits in 1994/1995 but soon re-appeared as collaborating and networking artist Mr. Moto (2).(from discogs)
Enjoy it.
