A.I.M. stands for Aids International Mail Art and it was a project managed by C.W Poste in USA. This is the documentation to this project and I gonna attach here the introduction to it,I did find it very interesting and I can only suggest you all to read it. Enjoy it!!
Dsip is Dieter Mauson+Siegmar Fricke researching on sleep & dreams states, ambient hypnotic sounds in great German electronic tradition.
This project was founded in 1989 and active until summer 1994.
After almost 20 years of hiatus they re-formed in 2013,this is their actual blog and soundcloud page.
There are still available other 11 of their tapes ripped by me and donated to Vita Ignes Corpus Lignum blog, get them here.
I also spoke already quite few times about Cat Killer,German label managed by Carsten Vollmer, who seems to be still active as noise musician. A small yet great treasure from the past! *f^a*r^a*w^a*y^ click me
Amazing tape by the fantastic artist Brume aka
Christian Renou, this is his official webpage where you can read his long and detailed biography and discography. He is infact a prolific French musique concrete composer/sound sculptor who has
won himself a place of his own with his crossover between sound
collages, electro-acoustics and noise. His compositions rely on dense,
rapid-fire montage and wed cacophony and dynamics, emphasizing both
the elements of discontinuity and continuity.
Why the nickname « Brume »?: he likes to
create an ‘uncertain’ aesthetic side, either visual, audio or other,
and to solicit the imagination of the listener, and his own before all.
Brume, one of the most cutting-edge musicians in the alternative scene. Here another website with info about him.
Anachronismus was a tape label run by Axel Ellinger in Ludwigsburg(Germany) from 08/1992 to 05/2000.
This tape was housed in a plastic bag with 5"x5.5" cover and includes three stickers
(for the release, Brume, and Anachronismus), one glossy insert, and one
offset or silkscreen printed insert (silver on black paper). All the scans provided in the folder.
Plurale Majestatis is Maurizio Chiavelli an Italian multi instrumentalist and composer from Rome experimenting music between jazz contemporary and electronic.
This tape appears to be self released and then distrubuted by Da Da ,a distribution based in Florence and managed by Adamo Valerio.
It came out in an hard case, same as the ones for the VHS tapes but small as for audio tapes, with a A5 sheet including info about the recording equipment.
Arkitesi is a project founded by 3 musicians from Foggia(Southern Italy),2 of them already involved in Follorum Ensemble, they offer us a very unique form of folk music flirting with a bit of jazz and swing, sort of reminding me some old classic movies soundtracks.
There are three instruments played with bows:a violin,a double bass and a nyckelharpa.
As far as I know they were active for few months back in 2009,they recorded this cd-r completely diy, played few gigs and then took different paths.
To complete this lousy introduction I am attaching here a slide-show from my Youtube channel. In this folder you will find also 3 extra tracks that my friend Gianni sent me as special gift with the pictures included in the video.
Enjoy this amazing and quite distinct music. A great project beyond the usual cliche` and labels. *f~a*r~a~w*a*y* click me
