Force Majeure - Force Majeure - (Concrete Collage-France-2022)

Force Majeure’s self-titled six-track debut LP of noisy soundscapes, illbient beats and experimental techno drops as a digital release
on French label Concrete Collage on 13 April 2022.
This short LP traverses a dark path into noisy and dense layers of processed sound – brooding and powerful in its intent, but still retaining some intricacy and dynamics.
The work is described by the artist as ‘The sound of the earth coming apart at the seams; nature turning against its aggressor.’ Some musical reference points include:Roly Porter, Speedy J, The Haxan Cloak, DEFCE, The Bug, Phuture Doom and Kamikaze Space Programme.

Force Majeure is one of the latest musical projects from Nick Ronin, a London-based audio/visual artist with over twenty years of gigs and artistry behind him. This project is a new stepping stone in the artistic career of someone who was born from the more rave-orientated British underground DIY scene. Here, the lack of a dancefloor focus provides a good opportunity for him to explore the more experimental and abstracted side of his musical tastebuds.
Although a devoted fan of synthesis, this project is chiefly concerned with how far recorded audio – vocal noises and foley-style sounds – can be manipulated and processed into thoroughly electronic realms. Bar a few obvious analogue synth sounds, all of the final Force Majeure output is the result of granular, spectral and effect processing and all of the sounds have been performed and recorded by the artist at home.
With the advent of this debut release, things are gathering pace for this new sonic adventure – with Force Majeure recently tackling a performance of two live soundtracks at an event in London as well as working towards a special surround- sound liveset in May. Fans of this unearthly sonic palette can expect a follow-up release of more textural experiments derived from the new performance setups later in the year.

CONTAGIOUS ORGASM - Seven Sounds Unseen - (Raubbau-Germany-2015)

we lift the curtain on contagious orgasm and proudly present seven sounds unseen: studio recordings and live material from '97/'98 plus a unique live jam session recorded in 1997.

contagious orgasm create their surrealistic sound worlds with a mix of organic rhythms, wooden percussions blended with amphoric bells and urban samples. a mix of ancient instruments mingling with modern, industrial bits and pieces - both woven into flows of drones, layers of dark deep ambience and distortion.

the live sets are just as enchanting as their studio work: bringing together telepherique, salt, p•a•l and thirdorgan, contagious orgasm engaged into a collaboration that stands out in dynamics and color added by every artist. the second set was recorded in the belly of ms stubnitz, the steel reflecting every frequency and underlining the bizarre arrangements that we are so well familiar with and which never cease to impress.

with seven sounds unseen, contagious orgasm continue their almost 30 years of production and connect the past with the present: an absolute must have for completing your collection or the seven sounds you just waited for.

CONTAGIOUS ORGASM - Live At Maschinenfest 2018 - (Raubbau-Germany-2018)

Raubbau picks up the thread and continues with its quest to make available memorable maschinenfest performances. contagious orgasm was a mf regular, and this perfectly shows the progression from the 2008 performance made available last year: gone are the idm leanings, the co sound of the 2010s (which is presented here) is even more a language of its own, abrasive and accessible, palpable and psychedelic at the same time.

get ready for some active listening - “afterglow” and “operation blue” are like a walk over thin ice, with acoustic strings and percussions, intimate melodies, whispered vocals and eerie washes of background feedback. the two parts of “exploration end seeking” are examples of co’s experimental leanings and an appreciation of the musique concrete. “mineral” and “firewalker” sport almost-rhythms and through a psyched-out, spooky back-alley take the performance to its noisy finale. It goes without saying that the sound quality is flawless, representing all the fine details of the truly unique co sound.

Protuberanzed-Doomsday Machine-(Absetzer-Russia-2008)

Protuberanzed "Doomsday Machine" is album, released in 2008 by first Russian Rhythmic Noise label "Absetzer".
Doomsday Machine is an hypothetic device that could destroy the life on Earth or even Earth itself when the machine is activated - it's the apotheosis of mutual guaranteed destruction doctrine.
Protuberanzed is the second project of Nullklever (after Fornax) that was created on the 31.08.2007. Differences from Fornax are: rhythmic and harsh sound, grim atmosphere.
-Arkady Nullklever -
Absetzer is a digital label (netlabel) dedicated to extreme forms of rhythmic electronic music, such as rhythmic noise, hard IDM, and digital hardcore. Absetzer is the part of Alter-X Promotion Project. The label was managed by Seclorum (a part of Frequency Alcyone) until AB-006, by Denoizer and Nullklever after.           click me

v.a.-ZYKLUS D-(Ant-Zen-Germany-1994)

Old Vinyl compilation by the legendary Ant-Zen featuring great artists playing different forms of cold hard electronics. It came out in a limited "A Edition" of 27 copies with full aluminium plate cover, with a folder & 5 cards.
Ant-Zen is the most important label in the newer German Industrial scene. It started in the early 90s as a tape label that later also released vinyl and CDs. Mastermind S.Alt (Stefan Alt) also did most of the layouts and packaging of the releases. While the earlier releases are more into noise, the new output has a more technoid style that is still very experimental. Ant-Zen is also the German distributor of a lot of other labels and runs a small mailorder.
Their actual webpage is here.
Enjoy it.

ARS MORIENDI/MONOKROM-Hexass/First Session-(Fich Art-Germany-1991)

Great split tape with two great projects coming from this amazing German label Fich Art.
Monokrom is another eardrum terrorist that will trigger some more brain distortions on planet Earth. Metallic bass grooves distorted at wishes, flows of deteriorated machine sounds, over-manipulated and undefinable noise assaults, sharp metallic distortions of the kind found on hostile alien airwaves, relentless scratched beats and vibrating lamenting voice fragments all belong to Monokrom's new order of chaos. Dark atmospheres aggravate to cold, sheer fear; the ultimate threat. Massive beats, torn to shreds by metal splinters, subfrequent sequences, metallic echoing, herald the advance of an inorganic intelligence without hurry, though victory is near.
Ars Moriendi [Bielefeld, Germany] were founded in 1989.
Their lineup consisted of various members including: Andrea Börner [KYAM, Monokrom, Templegarden's], Andreas Schramm [KYAM, Monokrom, Templegarden's, Asche, Riviera Lost Boys], Phillip Münch [Cell Auto Mata, The Incredible Three, Mandelbrot, Monokrom, Rasputeen In Heavy Leather, Rasputin, The Rorschach Garden, Show Of Exaggeration, Synapscape, Templegarden's], Sven Pügge [Moata Omen], Tim Kniep [The Incredible Three, Monokrom, Synapscape, Templegarden's], Urs Münch
Fich Art is the amazing label founded in 1989 by the members of Ars Moriendi, Moata-Omen, Asche and T.R.G. to promote their music.
It is still very active and you can get info and news visiting their nice webpage.
Enjoy it.
