Helou Kaet & Son n8-(Fanzine-Joukkomurha Products-Finland-1991)

Number 8 of this Finnish fanzine focused on short stories, poetries music , mail art and comics.I already posted the number 10 and the number 9.It was assembled and distributed by Jupe Luoma in the early 90s.Jupe was also into mail art and running the label Joukkormurha Tapes and the sublabel JM Tapes.

This fanzine has few articles, short stories, some poetries, lots of nice graphix works and comics and more random stuff.

Few poetries are in English, the most of the articles/comics and other writings are in Finnish.

Another compilation by this finnish label,covered in this blog quite few times now.Joukkomurha Worldwide is another name for the most famous Joukkomurha Tapes or JM Tapes.Here an introduction taken from Discogs.I guess this was written by Jupe Luoma,the mind behind this label.

"From the west coast of Finland - the city of Vaasa, to be more precise - rose a small but relentless and heavily networking cassette-only label originally known as Joukkomurha [Engl. Mass Murder or Massacre] Products or Tapes. The title of the label was later watered down to a more neutral-sounding (maybe even a wee bit more) JM-Tapes. The label was originally started just for fun, as a continuation to the creative stream of small press activity. The label was active producing the plethora of cassette-only albums (or alblums, as John Bartles would put it!) and compilations of folk / punk / electronic / aggressive / art music(k) and odd bits of sound all the way from Ohio to Okinawa. The label was in action between 1989 and 1998. In total, there were more than 70 releases during that time of angst, madness and creativity. The label was run by J Luoma, who was acknowledged on the "thanks" list of Reverend Bizarre's debut LP as the "witch of the west"!"

COSMONAUTS HAIL SATAN-Crazy Subjugated Astronauts-(Joukkomurha Products-Finland-c90-1993-)

Cosmonauts Hail Satan plays a weird hyperdistort slow punk on a base of hypnotic minimal rhythms,cut ups,loops and field recordings creating a perfect soundtrack for your best nightmares.

As far as I know Pig Havok was playing with them,he was also involved in Lizgizzad,Pleasant Valley Children and Bugeyed.

I passed this tape to Radiomoltov blog  5 years ago,that link is dead now so I re-post it here,yet it `s not the same rip,I realized that one was not done properly so I re-edited it.

No need to write about Joukkomurha Products,in fact I posted lots of stuff by this Finnish label.

EPA NYYRO-Rock`n`Roll Years 1981-1991-(Joukkohourma Prods-Finland-c90-1992)

28 songs on this long c90 exploring 10 years of  life of this unknown band from Finland.The title of the cassette talk about Rock`n`Roll : It is definitely a little joke,in fact the music here it  is a sick form of weird experiments with normal instruments played in a funny yet chaotic way.On the top of it you`ll get screams yelled with  deranged vocals,and it`is only a pity that every song is sung in Finnish language,so I have no idea what are the subjects of those crazy songs.Every now and again their music change for something a bit more conventional but the change last very short time.
Beside having few little troubles trying to explain you the music of this project or band and knowing that they were active in the 80s in Finland,Epa Nyyro remains a mystery to me:

ARSE-Greatest Hits-(Joukkomurha Products-Finland-c90-1992)

This tape with a live low-fi recording and brutal vocals will make happy all the grindcore and violent music fans.
Not much info about them,yes there are quite few written notes on the folded cover sleeve but only in finnish language.
The label is the famous Joukkomurha managed by Jupe Luoma in the 90s,label already covered in this blog few time now.

STEVE ANDREWS-From Venus With Love-(Joukkomurha Productions-Finland-1996-c60)

Steve Andrews is a singer-songwriter form Cardiff in South Wales, who was also known as The Legendary Steve Andrews and The Legend. He had his songs released on various underground cassette albums, as well as on Mask, a vinyl EP on Pink Lemon, and a vinyl LP entitled Sound of One on Very Good Records - both from Germany. His song Jungle Love was included on the vinyl Various Artists compilation Meltdown The Album LP on Chariot Records in 1990. He was a guest on many local radio shows and also performed at Glastonbury Festival amongst the many gigs he played at the time.(from discogs)
For some stuff Steve Andrews reminds me Lord Litter although with less genius aura!
Joukkomurha-Productions was a small label active in the 90s and managed by Jupe Luoma in Finland.
A very good tape-work for deviated new age hippies on wrong pathways to the inner lights...
