Voices Green & Purple n1 (Mail Art Documentation, Fanzine,Italy-90s)

Voices Green and Purple was a mail art project managed by the mail artist Mario Aquilino.This is the documentation to this  project.13 mail artists took part sending  A5 size artworks to Mario who assembled them into a fanzine.
Beside the mail art Mario was also involved in 2 seminal bands,he was in fact a very good guitar player with a great love for the garage punk, the psychedelic movement of the 60s and the b-movies.
He played in The Neolithics:a very good band of garage punk 60s style.

When The Neolithics splitted up Mario formed with few friends The Petrifieds,a band into surf raw rock`n`roll and b-movies culture.Gianamria of Italian Do It Yourself blog posted both tape and 7inch by this band-please get it here
Sadly Mario passed away in december 1997 and I still miss him very much.

ESALAZIONE ASFISSIANTE - Suicide,Love,Madness,Plagiarism - (Fanzine,Italy-1992)

Another production by the ghost collective E. A.,this short zine was made of some ready-made works,copy art,strange collages and few mail art contributions by Gianni L., Devis G.,Mario Aquilino and Paolo G..

Limited edition of 200 copies.It was mainly distributed via mail by E.A. and Contaminated Prods.Enjoy it.

THE PETRIFIEDS - Warning!Monsters -(P.A.I.N. Recs-Italy-1997)

Another band in which the Mail Artists Mario Aquilino was involved after the experience with the amazing The Neolithics.

This band plays a form of lo-fi instro horror surf trash`n`roll with the sound of the 50s. This 7ich was half recorded in the practise room of the Ex CIM Okkupato in Foggia with a 4-tracks recorded and half of with a cheapo walkman mono at "4th Beat Festival" 22/06/1996 Castel S. Giovanni (Piacenza). 300 copies back in 1997...hard to find nowadays. Enjoy it.

Mail Art documentation for a project created by Mario Aquilino,guitarist of The Neolithics.

This small documentation includes lots of very nice art-works by many mail artists,I think came out in 1992 or 1993 and it was conceived for the anti-celebration of the discovery of the American continent.
