TESTIMONIUM-One`s Last Sleep-(Hithlahabuth Records-Germany-1990)

I have very little info about this project, I only know that it is somehow associated with the German label  Hithlahabuth Records ‎, label active in the early 90s releasing mostly industrial/noise-ambient artists.

Testimonium offers us a tape with some exquisite esoteric electronicks, weird chants, noise ambient, and cacophonous passages building  ravenous disturbances that are composed of several aggressive frequencies. 

A great tape for contemplative inner flights.

NISTRI-FIORI CARONES-Nistri-Fiori Carones-(ADN-Italy-c40-1988)

Amazing collaboration between Vittorio Nistri(keyboards, effects, sampler and Alberto Fiori Carones(guitars) with an extra help on few tracks by Sandro Biagi(saxophone) and Barbara De Stefani(vocals)!

In those 40 minutes, they mix and mash a good dose of experiments touching the no wave, the ambient, the synth-pop and somehow a bit of electro-rock. Definitely a tape with some original music and sounds.

ADN was established in 1983 as the first Italian fanzine for experimental new music published in English, released lots of tapes and some vinyl of industrial/electro/noise until the early 90s and went on a long hiatus.

EX SIP-Down Under-(Art Total-France-1988)

Ex Sip was an experimental/ambient project formed by Eugène Pudgoray and Norbert Pudgoray in 1988. This tape is crafted with 22 tracks of great minimal ambient.

v.a.-Elektronik Sampler-(Transmitter Cassetten-Germany-1983)

A rather rare old sampler of  early electronic experiments touching the no wave,the synth pop,the ambient and the mininal wave.

Private release on Transmitter Cassetten (TC 64) 1983.

The Schnitzler tracks are previously unreleased but based on music material from the 6xCass - 'Container'.

Transmitter Cassetten was a German label founded in 1980 by Lutz Berger and Werner Pieper, specialising in esoterica and "media experiments". It was closed down in 1995. It was associated to Grüner Zweig and Werner Pieper's MedienXperimente.
The successor label for CDs is Transmitter

An amazing video by this unknown American project called Testicular Momentum, apparently active in the late  80s.

ORDER 1968-Il Giardino Delle Rune-(Hate Productions-Italy-c60-1992)

Order 1968 is the personal project by Claudio Dondo,who later founded the project Runes Order.He also seems to be the mastermind behind the label Hate Productions.

In this tape, Claudio plays 8 tunes reminding me some experiments of early esoteric electronicks and ambient/drone.

"Order 1968 was a dark ambient project formed in 1988 in Genoa, Italy by Claudio Dondo. The name of the project was changed to Runes Order in 1992. Order 1968's compositions were inspired by ritualistic and industrial atmospheres and were composed using synthesizers, pre-recorded tapes, and self-made metallic percussion instruments."

This is an esquisite piece of magnetic tape.A great sampler by this very good German label :Dhyana.
It delivers us magnificent music by amazing projects playing ambient,esoteric electronickx,industrial and more experimental weirdness.

Schmoll Compilation came out  with a big folded cover-sleeve in a limited edition of only 150 handnumbered copies.

STRATOSPHERE-Lost In Unity-(Escape 3 Organisation-Belgium-c21-1992)

“In the early 90’s stratosphere started experimenting with music. Using analog  tape devices combined with synth sounds, the first songs were created. After these first steps, audio recordings were added that complemented and defined the typical stratosphere feel. Spheric soundcapes with harmonic melodies became the signature sound of stratosphere. This resulted in a few releases in the next years together with some live performances. Feeding on these experiences, more acoustic instruments (including guitar) were added which created an even more harmonic sound.

After a decade of silence, and a dramatic change in life, stratosphere picked up music again. Using his experience as a sound and recording engineer, his interest in music creation returned. This time, only guitar and bass guitar were used, in combination of a wide range of pedal effects. Simplifying his working method, resulted in an number of new tracks. Due to the changes in life, a darker side is introduced, but the typical sound remains. Soundscapes and harmonics are still the base of his music. So a new era has started for stratosphere returning to the music scene with a fresh view and renewed motivation.”(from his excellent webpage)

Escape 3 organisation was founded in 1990 and operated as an independent tapelabel for industrial music for some years. Since a few years it is mainly a platform for obscure new electronica projects that deal with the combination between industrial electronic music and new forms of urban electronica like breakbeats, drum’n bass and technoïd hybrid forms. We are grouping some acts/projects and promote them, cause we know you are out there, we know you want it, and we will make them come to your place. Prepare for it. ILLUSION OF SAFETY-In 70 Countries-(Complacency-Usa-c40-1989)

I imagine that most of the people following this blog knows already this amazing american project by the artist:Daniel Burke ,for the ones who don`t here an intruduction from discogs:
Overview
Since 1983 Illusion Of Safety has been the ongoing project of Daniel Burke, working alone and with various collaborators. They have released over 20 CDs on labels such as Complacency, Die Stadt, Experimedia, Odd Size, Silent, Soleilmoon, Staalplaat, Tesco, and Waystyx, and played over three hundred concerts in Europe and North America. IOS' work has been called ambient, post-industrial, electro-acoustic, noise, sound collage, improvisation, and power electronics, but they are unwilling to limit their work to any given style or method. The sonic character and affective substance of the music will often shift abruptly within each recording and live performance.
Current position
Daniel Burke is currently working with conventional instruments, electronic synthesis, computer composition, samples, and highly amplified handled objects. He uses improvised and composed structures containing material that confounds memory and stimulates perception. The resulting music encompasses broken sound, disturbed ambience and unfiltered beauty that collectively evokes an awareness of the ineffable.
Intent
The work activates modes of perception to facilitate direct access to the psyche, emotions, and the infinite in order to address the necessity of balance and the nature of dichotomy.

FEINE TRINKERS BEI PINKELS DAHEIM-Yoked Oxen-(Fool`s Paradise Recs-UK-1996)

FEINE TRINKERS BEI PINKELS DAHEIM are from Bremen and Lörrach on the German coasts, and have toured everything from The Netherlands to Switzerland, Russia and Great Britain extensively over the last 2 decades.
In the last 2 decades, they released unique vinyl CD and cassettes in multiple editions , usually personalised and with personalised hand-painted artwork.
Every show of Feine Trinkers Bei Pinkels is an experience for itself - it's timeless, it's a feast for the ears, and it's such a pleasure to see them doing all the work on stage when you just lean back staring at them, with their aural earbuds tickling your eardrums.
Now, Yesterday or Tomorrow, and why do they have such an attention to detail - that's the question you will ask yourself.(from their website)
This tape came out on the London based Fool`s Paradise Recs in 1996.The  plastic case and the tape itself are completely painted with acrylic paint,I guess all the copies are  different.A folded piece of paper with info and song-titles was included.

MUD-Burning Bush-(Self released-Usa-1996)

Here comes another unknown artist from the crypt of the 90s. Mud was a project hailing from the Usa formed by Traig Foltz (somehow involved in Yen Pox and Veil of Secrecy) and Steve Hall (maybe the same one involved in Ephiphany recs). This cassette has 3 tracks on each side. There is usage of ambient and field recordings in some songs, rhythmic layers of overdriven bass drums and machine-like sounds on others and/or nostalgic piano music/arabic guitar with vocal loops on some other tracks. It is all a mash up, but well done and somehow it has an underlying trancelike power. "All Compositions Made on Locations Made Famous By Their Aboundance Of Parapsychological Activity" this is a statement written by the musicians on the back of the cover-sleeve, it might help you to get a better idea of their music and what is behind it.

No idea how many copies were distributed by this >U productions,I think this is a very fine tape production and quite interesting both for the the ideas and the music. I believe that fans of certain drone/ambient/experimental electronic music will like it.

Music for rituals and pagan minds/movements.

PORTATA DELLA VOCE-Portata Della Voce-(Art Konkret-Germany-1993)

It seems that Portata Della Voce is one person project as there is only his/her surname listed on the cover sleeve-this artists must be Italian, and this is all I know about him/her...all the rest is a mystery to me.
The music here is a  mellow form of ambient sometimes touching some industrial rhythms and colors.
Not at all a bad tape.

Art Konkret is a music.label for experimental music. The label was founded in the year 1992 by the members of Söldnergeist and Drape Excrement. In the Label history, ART KONKRET released about 40 CD, LP or tapes. The main field is power electronics, death industrial and dark ambient. HITHLAHABUTH-Light-(Hithlahabuth Recs-Germany-c60-1990)

Hithlahabuth are from Germany and have been active for more than 10 years. As yet, they released only a few works on their own Hithlahabuth Records label which also served to release their solo (often under different names) and collaborative projects. Hithlahabuth is the name for "burning" or "glowing" in the sense of ecstasy of the religious notion of "chassidism".

Their work can be defined as droning sound-collages, similar to Maeror Tri and early Current 93.(from discogs)

For people into ambient noise this is a great tape.

KLANGWART-Immerland-(Klangstelle-Germany-1997)

Klangwart play an intense form of drone/abstract ambient noise,this tape contains 2 long tracks,1 each side.The tape came out in a special plastic case with a hole.

This is  the German project managed  by Markus Detmer and Timo Reuber and formed in Cologne in 1996.

Klangstelle seems to be their personal label.
A great tape for people into abstract field recording experiments.
