The Brain Of The Monster n2-(Fanzine-Italy-1989)

Number 2 of this great fanzine created by Gherardo Boccato and
Alessandro Ceccotto of the Mail Art Archive in Adria (Northern Italy).
Their aim was to talk about unpopular subjects allowing communication via different media. 

In this issue interesting articles about The Monster of Dusseldorf, the freedom of suicide, body art, Xipe Totec(an Aztec deity), Hiroshima Shadow Project, the death penalty in the USA, Tibet`s demons, the secrets of Joujuka, mail art projects and few other rather bizarre  yet creative subjects. 

A very good example of underground press from the last century.

Number 34 of this Mail Art Bulletin edited and distributed by the Mail Art Archive of Adria.

Perfomedia-"Acqua-Ferro-Fuoco"-(Mail Art Archive-Italy-1995)

Interesting booklet documenting the art installation with the subject "Water-Iron-Fire"  held in Bienno-Ponte Rossa(Northern Italy) on the 4-5-6- August 1995.

Lots of nice pictures as b/w photocopy, few articles in English and the introduction in Italian only.

Body art, installations, iron sculptures and other cool stuff.

This small documentation was edited and distributed by The Mail Art Archive in Adria which activities have been reported in this blog a few times already.

Anti Apartheid Project News 8-(Mail Art Documentation-Italy+Global Networking-1996)

Number 8 of this documentation about  this ongoing project  managed by Boccato Gherardo (editor of The Brain of the Monster zine) and Alessandro Ceccoto of the mail art archive in Adria.

I already posted the number 1 released in 1991 and the number 4 released in 1993. 

Also here a collection of good artworks by various  mail artists and some news(in english or in italian).

Wanted Christopher Columbus-(Poster-Mail Art-Italy+Global Networking-1992)

Mail Art project and Documentation realized by Alessandro Ceccotto,it was 1992 and all the world was celebrating 400 years of the discovery of the "new continet".Quite few mail artists took part to this project which theme was the anti-celebration,I spoke about this project when I posted a very nice postcard printed by the same mail artist on the same subject.

The Brain of the monster was a fanzine managed by Alessandro Ceccotto and Boccato Gerardo active in the end of the 80s,I spoke about it when I posted some of the tapes released by the same zine.

New Bullettin n29-(Mail Art Archive-Italy-Dec.1992)

New Bulletin was a mail art fanzine created and managed by Alessandro Ceccotto,who was also managing  a big Mail Art Archive in Adria(Northern Italy)-I wrote about him when I posted the fanzine The Mouth.

I already posted the number 31 and the number 27 of this nice

bullettin.

Also in this issue lots of mail art invitations,flyers,underground press and various info of the obscure global networking scene in the early 90s.

New Bulletin 31-(Mail Art Archive-Italy-1993)

Number 31 of  New Bulletin created and managed by Alessandro Ceccotto,who was also managing  a big Mail Art Archive in Adria(Northern Italy)-I wrote about him when I posted the fanzine The Mouth.

Alessandro started this publication in 1988 and He was printing 4 issues at year,all the people involved received a free copy of it.

In this number lots of interesting articles (some in english  some other in italian) about mail art and related issues.Flyers,mail art invitations,pictures,art-works...

Vessazione Vocale[Music by Eiaculazione Amusicale-Video by Alessandro Ceccotto](Mail Art Archive-Adria-Italy-199?)

I spoke many times about this Ghost Collective E.A.-a project already covered in this blog few times,here and here and here+here and I am probably missing other few links.

This song was one of the first experiments,used by Alessandro Ceccotto 

in a long video with other music tracks-I am posting here only the contribution by E.A.!

Alessandro was also managing  a big Mail Art Archive in Adria(Northern Italy)-I wrote about him when I posted the fanzine The Mouth. and quite few other times now.

Vessazione Vocale means Vocal Oppression.For this project E.A. stands for Non-Musical Ejaculation.

v.a.CERIMONIAL-(The Brain Of The Monster-Italy-c90-1988)

This compilation is made of different live recordings from an experimental rock festival in Prato(Tuscany) and the Meeting Anticlericale in Fano(Marche) in 1988. It was released by The Brain Of The Monster, a radical fanzine about music and anti-art conceived by a famous mail artist: Alessandro Ceccotto in Adria. He was running a big mail art archive, and few fanzines as well.I already posted some stuff published by him as Mail Art Archive. I have no idea how many copies he printed of it.The cover sleeve was a xerox copy of red plasticized paper.About the bands: there is not much need for an introduction as many are very famous nowadays. As overall the recordings are not bad if you consider that they were all captured live.
