JAYWALKER-Possessed By A Fury That Burn From Inside-(Aural Exciter-Switzerland-1994-double tape + book)

Another excellent release by Jaywalker, a band already covered in this blog when I posted the tapes "I told them my dreand and Free Energy thorugh...",this was the first band formed by Dietmar Gallhammer,I  wrote about him when I posted the tapes by Religious Overdose. 
Jaywalker was founded in 1987 but were going through many line-up changes before the first LP was released in 1989. Urs Schwaller left sometime before the second Album "I Told Them My Dreams" - also on their own Aural Exciter imprint - was published. They toured more than working in the studio - mainly in east European countries where their uncomprimising sound and anarchist messages fell on open ears. 
DD Gallhammer surfaced with another trio called Religious Overdose a few years later.
 

 Aural Exiciter label was named after one of Jaywalker´s songs, Aural Exciter Records´ roots where those of the DIY spirit and anarchist ethics of the Punk and HC scene of the late 80s. Besides designing, booking, distributing and organizing everything themselves flyers and all artwork was printed at the daytime working place of founder Dietmar "Dee Dee" Gallhammer after office hours. It´s moniker was only used for releases he participated in. 

This is a double cassette + booklet and it covers all the side projects and bands coming from the ashes of Jaywalker-it is an amazing production and it will make happy all the fans of creative music touching the noise rock  with a punk attitude.

JAYWALKER-I Told Them My Dreams+Free Energy Through Unconnetted Coils Like Tesla & Reich Generators-(Aural Exciter Production-1995-Switzerland)

Another band by Dietmar Gallhammer, I  wrote about him when I posted the tapes by Religious Overdose.
This is his first band, if I don`t fail, and was founded in 1987 but went through many line-up changes before the first LP was released in 1989.

"I Told Them My Dreams". 
They toured more than working in the studio - mainly in east European countries where their uncompromising sounds and anarchist messages fell on open ears.

This cassette was released by Aural Exciter Recs, which was managed by Dietmar+friends and named after one of Jaywalker´s songs, Aural Exciter Records´ roots were those of the DIY spirit and anarchist ethics of the Punk and HC scene of the late 80s. Besides designing, booking, distributing and organizing everything themselves, the flyers and all artworks were printed in the working place of founder Dietmar "Dee Dee" Gallhammer after office hours. 

His moniker was also used for other releases where he was involved.

This tape includes the 2 albums by Jaywalker, the first Free Energy Through Unconnected Coils Like Tesla & Reich Generators (1989) ‎ and the second I Told Them My Dreams..(1991)

MISCAST - Miscast -(Stechapfel Produktion - C30-Switzerland-1984)

 Miscast was one of the first HC Punk band in Switzerland, first band by Dietmar Gallhammer.(I wrote about him when I posted the music by Jaywalker and Religious Overdose. Here I C+P an interesting note taken off a Discogs page dedicated to this band. Enjoy it.

Band History translated from the Miscast 7" liner notes

Miscast were formed around September 1983 by people in and around Olten, at a time when American hardcore swept into Switzerland. Back then I was working with Felix Fischer at Jamming Distribution and we were probably the first in Switzerland who were trying to sell stuff like This is Boston Not L.A. and Flex Your Head comps, 7"ers and 12"ers by SS Decontrol, Negative Approach, Minutemen, White Cross, Minor Threat and the like.

Miscast played somewhere around 13 shows in Switzerland, among them one supporting Toxie Reasons and another playing after Toten Hosen. There were several smaller gigs too, one of them we did along with Haine Brigade at an anarchist meeting in Lamastre (France) on July 13th, 1984. It was a time bereft of enthusiasm (the "Youth Movements" had been crushed*), various gangs of fascist skins kept attacking gigs, punks beat up on each other, and so forth. There wasn't very much happening in the way of bands either, most of them were musically and ideologically still rooted in '77, except for a few... GKH for example, from Baden, who were very young (average age: 15) and therefore had quite a devil-may-care approach (meaning guitars with strings missing etc.). Still, they managed to get one song on the second Flipside compilation LP. One of them also published the first Swiss hardcore fanzine before he changed sides and became a nazi-skin (with all but the drummer and their later bassplayer doing likewise... The drummer is now in Jaywalker). Brutal Menekken, Decontrol, Attax and Kosili too were early, moderate (and tame!) attempts at hardcore.

None of them, however, were quite as fast, original and hard as Miscast. But sometime in Autumn 1984 the story had already come to an end, about half a year after the Miscast demotape was released on Stechapfel-vertrieb.
* This refers to the social upheaval that surrounded the struggle for the Autonomous Youth Centre in Zurich (evicted and pulled down in early '82). Massive riots went down in 1980/'81 and then petered out in late '81/early '82, a setback for subculture/anarchists in Switzerland that left some people with a sense of disillusionment -Simon

 

RELIGIOUS OVERDOSE-Half A Devil And Half A Child-(Aural Exciter,Switzerland,1994)+Flatus Flow Rate(Aural Exciter,Switzerland-1995)

Aural Exciter was a Swiss label active in the 90s, the mastermind behind this cool label was Dietmat Gallhammer, who was also playing guitar and singing in this amazing band: Religious Overdose.
I was in touch with DD and I Know that this label was 100% involved in political projects too and it had strong bonds with autonomous centers such as the 28 of Eindhoven(Holland), the Az of Aachen(Germany)  and
the collective Amanita in France.DD was active organizing gigs of independent bands(punk, noise...)and distributing music and fanzines in the alternative squat scene and via mail.
DD was clearly admitting that Religious Overdose was mainly influenced by bands such as Sonic Youth and Joy Division.
Before this band DD was playing in Jaywalker, another great band, I will post some productions by Jaywalker in future.
Those two tapes are professionally recorded in a studio and both have a nice graphic layout including lyrics and info.
For the lovers of creative music and interesting lyrics, those tapes are just a real treasure.
