This compilation + booklet is great research about the lively Polish punk scene of the very first punk era.A well-done work about the bands and the proto-punk scene from the early days (1976)passing thru the very peak of 1978...

The all English written fanzine (all the relevant scans included here) reports a few interesting articles about the early days of the punk scene in Poland + a page is dedicated to each band with its history, lyrics, and pictures. 

Supreme Echo is an archival record label owned by musician & music archivist Jason Flower. Focusing on rare Canadiana & former Socialist Republics; the Anthropology of Counter-Culture presented at a scholarly level. Its current webpage is here.

DIE FIRMA-Die Firma-(Self Released-Germany-1991)

The very first name of this band was Firma Trötsch,they formed in 1983 and their line up was Tatjana Besson(voice+bass),Frank "Trötsch" Tröger (keyboards+voice), Key Pankonin (guitar+voice), Paul Landers (guitar ), Richard "Scholle" Kruspe (guitar), Uwe Gilbert (guitar), Faren Matern (bass+voice), Christoph Zimmermann (Bass), Lothar Greiss (drums), Thomas Schreiber (drums),probably their line up was very unsettled.

They published various live albums, few cassettes and 1 cd, only.

They split up in 1993.

Paul Lander and Christoph Schneider will join, eventually Rammstein.

This cassette came out with a booklet with lyrics, pics and writings(scan included here)

Their music is a mix of indie rock and hardcore punk, quite original and personal.

Open Up And Bleed-(Fanzine-UK-1999)

Old punk zine from London, active on the end of the 90s, it has these feelings of the new computer era...somehow making it a kind of retro and sweet.

The article about the CD-Rs and how to boycott the big labels with a simple pc+ a cd writer is rather obsolete.

As for the rest, you`ll find here some interesting thoughts about the scene in Northern Ireland in 1977

and lots of gigs reviews of the first wave of punk rock bands + zine and music reviews too.

PUNKAMINAZIONE N5-(Fanzine/Bulletin-Italy-March 1985)

Punkaminazione was a bulletin of connection, communication, information and coordination assembled by groups, labels and collectives of the Italian punk scene in the early 80s.

A very similar experience was experimented in the early 90s and it was called La Lega dei Furiosi.

Punkaminazione was not a proper fanzine but a container of experiences shared by people with the same ideas and aims:anti-militarism, squatting, anarchism, punk music as political message.

In this issue we find contributions by different collectives and individuals from many places of the Italian boots:Bari, Aosta, Grosseto, Genova, Savona, Udine, Savona, Lecco, Macerata, Milano... and writings about pollution, green energy, squatting and evictions of social centers, riots, punk gigs.

This is a piece of history of the Italian Punk scene, only in Italian Language.

BULIMIA BANQUET-Eat Fats,Die Young-(Flipside Records-Usa-1988)

Bulimia Banquet was a very unique alternative punk band from Los Angeles and the South Bay of California, USA, who formed in 1985 and consisted of Ingrid Baumgart, Al Hansford Jula Bell, and Jason Greenwood. Dez Cadena,Mia Ferraro, Travis Johnson, Greg Cameron, and Nick Passiglia were also in the band for a period of time. The band put out two albums with Flipside: Eat Fats Die Young and Party my Colon. They put out a single of Curse Me/Replete with Piece of Mind Records and were on numerous comps including flipside vinyl fanzines, and 2 Triple X comps. One was Welcome to Our Nightmare, and the other was the Triple X comp Gabba Gabba Hey. The band was featured in Lisa Rose Apramian's riot grrl documentary, Not Bad for a Girl and as well as a Larry Wessel documentary on underground Los Angeles. They toured the U.S. and Europe as well as Canada and parts of Mexico. They also put out two videos: Curse me and Dine or Die.(from ReverbNation).

LIIMANARINA-Juutalaiset-(7inch-Bag Vagum-Finland-1990)

Strange form of punk mixed with some art-rock folk,experimental lo-fi noises and some crazy vocals is the music by this finnish band active in the early 90.

Εκτός Ελέγχου-Εκτός Ελέγχου-(Self Released-Greece-1985)

Εκτός Ελέγχου Romanized to: Ektos Elenghou Translated to: Out Of Control. Punk/Rock'N'Roll band from Thessaloniki, Greece. Started playing in 1982 as "Συν Και Πλην", but in 1984 they changed their name to "Εκτός Ελέγχου". They released a Demo cassette in 1985.(info taken from a discogs page deditcated to them). A wikipedia page about them is here only in greek language.  I have no idea how this tape ended up in my collection,some greek distro must have sent me long time ago,I didn`t know anything about this band as I could not even read their name,everything changed when my friend Zina(big thanx) translated  their name and so I could search info about them on the net.On the cover sleeve there are only the songtitles(in english),no info of any sort.Maybe this is the demo that came out in 1985 but I am not sure 100%.It has a good recording.Anyone out there with more info about this tape???Enjoy the punk rock sung in greek.

Old compilation covering  bands from  South East Asia and Japan.It came out with a  booklet, unfortunately I don`t have it.
The recordings are ok and  the bands offers us a good selection of styles:grindcore,HC punk,ska and punk rock.
Sprout Records was a Japanese label run by Tsuyoshi Konno,more info here.

D.I.Y Records  is a punk/grindcore label from Tokyo, Japan, releasing worldwide artists in limited 7" editions and on other media. D.I.Y Records is owned by Ryuji Asada of Battle Of Disarm.Their actual webpage is here.

SOCKEYE-Rainbow Maxi Pad Hypokinetic Poop-(Joukkomurha Prods-Finland-199?)

I spoke already about Sockeye when I posted the tape Whimsical Butt...
They are active since the end of the 80s and releaed lots of tapes and 7inches.Their very personal lo -fi punk rock is crafted with weird and funny lyrics.
I am not sure if this tape was released by Joukkomurha Prods in Finland or if it was just distributed by this label in Europe.

BRUTOPOP - Defrost - (Flop Records-Italy-2001)

Here the double compilation cd by the genius Brutopop-a very difficult band to review because they played for a long time changing style as the years were passing by...yet they kept their original aurea of proto punk/rap/hip hop/art rock and electro madness.

This double cd gives us a great compendium of what they managed to create in their life.

A very good example of creativity and exquisite fantasy.

v.a-15 Years Anniversary CD-Profane Existence n45-(Magazine+Cd compilation-Usa-2004)

DIY punk rock collective formed in 1989 and based in the United States by Dan Siskind and a number of others. They run Profane Existence Records which releases anarcho-punk style releases from bands throughout the world. They also release "Profane Existence" magazine as well as operating Profane Existence Distribution.
The collective folded in 1998, although its distribution arm, then called Blackened Distribution, continued operating. They also put out a few releases under the label Aftermath to help pay off their debts. Profane Existence restarted in 2000.

GAY ANIMAL WOMEN-Extreme Abuse-(Self Released-UK-c20-1988)

Gay Animal Women seems to be another project by the English artist Stream Angel: a former member of Well Crucial and rare-but-vital contributor to the A Band. Of Scottish origin but now resident somewhere in the East Midlands.(from lastfm).
This is a great short tape of furious violent sonic assault mixing primitive digital hardcore,some grindcore,screaming vocals and brutal shouts and more
crazy experiments of electro industrial punk.As introduction to those crazy songs and messages I am going to attach here what it is reported on the back of the cover sleeve.This is for people into violent music with an attitude...

I already posted the number 1 and number 2 of this very little yet very interesting fanzine.It was made by Pablo and Lara of Resistance Productions,and as they called it, it was a fanzine made by punk parents for punk parents.

v.a.-BULSA BREAKOUT(Sound Action-South Africa & Art of Noise-Bulgaria-c90-1996)

Here a compilation released and distributed by  the South African Sound Action and the Bulgarian distro Art of Noise.I posted already 3 cassettes by this Southern african label here and here and here.
No much info about the bulgarian label.
As for the introduction of this tape I am going to attach here what they wrote in the cover sleeve.

Good punk-grind and  metal bands from those 2 countries,good recordings and an A4 colour copy cover sleeve with pics and addresses make this release a very nice one.
