Networker Congress T-Shirt-(Mail Art/Graphic Art-Italy-1992)

This is the flyer publicizing the commemorative T-shirt for the Italian Chapter of the Congress conceived by Vittore Baroni with a graphic work by the amazing Gianluca Lerici aka Professor Bad Trip for the  Decentralized World-Wide Networker Congress 1992.
For whoever doesn't know much about this Network Congress held in 1992 in various places in this planet, here few lines:

"The Decentralized Networker Congress of 1992, Initially conceived by Networker H.R. Fricker,

and coordinated by Peter W. Kaufman eventually involved over 500 artists from 25 countries and over 250 events.

The original text is as follows :

Decentralized World-Wide Networker Congress 1992 (NC92)

Where two or more artists/networkers meet in the course of 1992,  a congress will take place
. The Decentralized World-Wide Networker Congress will serve as a
meeting point for all kinds of networkers. The meaning of the common

role as networkers should be the focus of the discussion.

As Networking options have expanded since 1992, and with the variety of media available to us now, we seek to expand this concept, and while honoring Mailart and face to face meeting, we are looking for all kinds of manifestations. Along with H.R. Fricker, the Congresses originator, and our Honorary organizer, we look forward to a re-energizing of these concepts, and expanded interactions within the network.

During the days of November 2, 3, and 4, 2012  Exhibitions will take place in 6 locations, in 6 distinctly different time zones.

Galleries in Cornwall ( UK ), Odzaci ( Serbia ), Ponte Nossa (Italy), and Roanoke ( USA ) will host these exhibitions as well as serve as Downloading sites and Documentation centers, with abilities to Interact with performing Networkers through Skype and Secondlife.  Performances and activities will be  streamed live from all 6 locations using Bambuser and/or Livestream.  Please send Mailart, documentation of Congresses, texts, collages, rants, postcards, poems, add and pass sheets,  mythologies, videos, slogans, photographs, diaries, artifacts, envelopes, address lists, cassettes..."

BIzarro Distribuzioni-(Self Released-Italy-1991)

Short yet very interesting catalogue edited and distributed by the mail artist, music critic and a real cultural activist: Vittore Baroni.
Mixing music, videos, mail art and graphic works it offers a view about what Vittore was distributing long time ago, all stuff that is definitely out of print now.
The astonishing graphic-works by the fantastic Professor Bad Trip enrich this small catalogue making it a pure gem by the intricated world of the underground press from the last century.
Enjoy it.

FRANZ - Il Morbo Di Franz - (Trash-c10-Italy-1989)

I already wrote on this blog about Vittore Baroni when I posted the tape trax 0185.
This is another project created and diffused by this multi-media artist. It was a series of short tapes dedicated to the culture of  Trash,on this one the leader of the garage beat band I Vigliacchi takes the name of  Franz singing low-fi b movies style songs about surf culture and myths.
The artwork is by the great Italian graphic artist Professor Bad trip, his real name was Gianluca Lerici and this is his FB page.
No idea how many copies of this tape were printed,I guess it`s not available any longer. Here few more info that I have found on discogs
"Trash was a single comic book page written by Vittore Baroni and illustrated by Prof. Bad Trip (Gianluca Lerici), on the theme of B Music (meaning that as aural equivalent of B Movies). It was hosted from April to Dec 89 on music magazine Rockerilla, and from February 1991 on Urlo magazine. On June 89, the page announced the birth of a "ghost label", Trash, dedicated to "B-Music", whose first issue was "Il Morbo Di Franz" cassette, that could be ordered by sending 3000 lire cash (1.55 euro) to Baroni's E.O.N. archive. The page also included an open call to contribute to issue 2, named "Batmaniacs on the Loose", whereas the Dec 89 page included a call to contribute to issue 3, on the subject of trashy Film and Tv themes. That was the last tape, eventually released on summer 1990, "Soundtrekking For Mutants".
